Trump: Obama Behind Protests, Leaks

President Donald Trump says he believes the leaks coming out of the government are from holdovers from President Barack Obama's administration. "Well, you never know exactly what's happening behind the scenes," Trump told Fox News in an interview to be broadcast Tuesday. "But I think President Obama's behind it, because his people are certainly behind it. And some of the leaks possibly come from that group."

Trump slams Pelosi: 'I think she's incompetent, actually'

President Trump in an interview broadcast Tuesday slammed House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), saying she is “incompetent.”

"Well I've been watching Nancy's tape. And so I think she's incompetent, actually,” Trump told Fox News's “Fox & Friends.”

“You know, if you look at what's going on with the Democrats and the party, it's getting smaller and smaller. You know, in a certain way I hate to see it, because I like a two-party system and we're soon going to have a one-party system. I actually think a two-party system is healthy and good. But she's done a terrible job."

White Men Should Pay 5% Extra In Taxes Because They’re Privileged

White people should pay extra taxes because they are more privileged, an op-ed at Wesplain argues.

The article, titled, “It’s Time for White People to Pay for Privilege: The Equality Tax,”argues that all minorities face economic disadvantages.

“Racist employers, a disproportionate targeting of minorities by law enforcement, racial wage gaps, poor inner city schools; these all contribute to what is an undeniable reality for minorities,” the article claims.

To fix this, white people should pay a higher tax to make up for their privilege. The writer suggests a five percent tax to start with. A single white man should pay a five percent “equality tax,” while a single white woman would only pay 4.5 percent in the “equality tax.”

Pugh Announces No Funding Proposal, But Calls For State & City Help For Schools

Mayor Catherine Pugh came to Annapolis Monday on a mission regarding city schools.

The mission was for more money from the state and the city.

Last week, she told a rally on Lawyer's Mall in Annapolis that she would come back to Annapolis Monday to announce a funding proposal

In a late afternoon news conference Monday at the game location, the mayor did not outline specific dollar amounts she wants the city and state to contribute to the city school system to close a $130-million dollar deficit.

"We've come here to Annapolis today to say we need help," Pugh told reporters.

NC church limits married couples to 30 min. of sex and that's not all

SPINDALE, N.C. -- When it comes to relationships, marriage and sex, Word of Faith Fellowship members must follow strict and unusual rules - or risk severe punishment, former members say.

- Congregants need permission from leader Jane Whaley and other ministers to get married, and it then can take months - or even a year - before the newlyweds are allowed to have sex.

- No one is allowed to date without permission, and most relationships and marriages are arranged by Whaley and ministers.

- On their wedding night, couples are permitted only a "godly peck on the cheek." When they get in bed together, they must roll over and go to sleep.

Most Americans believe bathrooms should be linked to biological sex, new poll finds

An overwhelming majority of Americans want people to use the bathrooms, locker rooms and showers that correspond with their biological sex, a new poll finds.

According to a new Crux/Marist survey, Americans — by a 66 to 27 percent margin — do not believe those “transitioning to become the opposite sex” should be allowed to use whichever showers and locker rooms they want. A smaller, but still significant, majority — 56 to 38 percent — feel the same way about public bathroom use.

Sixty-two percent of respondents agreed that employers who object because of religious beliefs “should be protected by freedom of religion to opt out of covering medical procedures that physically change a person’s sex.” Thirty-two percent disagreed.

White House press slams Spicer for invite-only briefing

The White House Correspondents' Association on Friday "strongly" protested the White House decision to host an invite-only press briefing on Friday that excluded outlets like the New York Times and CNN.

"The WHCA board is protesting strongly against how today's gaggle is being handled by the White House," Reuters reporter and chairman of the association Jeff Mason said in a statement Friday. "We encourage the organizations that were allowed in to share the material with others in the press corps who were not. The board will be discussing this further with White House staff."

There was no televised daily White House briefing on Friday, and instead, White House press secretary Sean Spicer invited some reporters to a "gaggle" in the afternoon. The Washington Examiner was among the outlets invited to the briefing.

Those not invited were the New York Times, the Hill, Politico, BuzzFeed, the Daily Mail, BBC, CNN, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Daily News.

Delaware chief justice urges hike in gasoline tax

Leo Strine
DOVER — Members of the Bond Committee met Monday for the first time to begin deliberations on the budget with the Department of Education and the judiciary appearing before the committee.

Although Gov. John Carney is not scheduled to release his recommendations until the end of March, the Bond Committee still spend hours discussing the needs from several state agencies and branches of government.

Former Gov. Jack Markell’s capital proposal called for spending $555.3 million in the upcoming fiscal year, with that sum almost evenly divided between construction projects and the Department of Transportation’s budget.

Monday included brief discussions on the gasoline tax, which is currently 23 cents per gallon. Chief Justice Leo Strine urged lawmakers to increase it, and committee co-chair Sen. Dave Sokola, D-Newark, later noted the tax is lower than in surrounding states.

Theft Investigation At Showell Volunteer Fire Company

In 2013, the Worcester County Bureau of Investigations began investigating a theft from the Showell Volunteer Fire Company. It was learned that Mark Allan Widgeon, presently of Snow Hill, Maryland, had allegedly used the Showell Volunteer Fire Company’s bank account to make multiple personal transactions. At the time of the thefts, Mr. Widgeon was a volunteer firefighter and held the position of treasurer within the Showell Volunteer Fire Company.

With the assistance of a Forensic Auditor, investigators learned that from 2009-2012 while Mr. Widgeon held the position of treasurer he made multiple personal purchases using the Showell Volunteer Fire Company’s bank accounts totaling well over thousands of dollars

After a lengthy audit of all the bank accounts associated with the Showell Volunteer Fire Company, the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation, in conjunction with the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office, applied charges for felony theft scheme involving Mr. Widgeon. The district court commissioner issued an arrest warrant for MR. Widgeon.

On February 25, 2017, at approximately 0800 hours, Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies took Mr. Widgeon into custody. Mr. Widgeon went before the Worcester County Circuit Court and was given a $50,000 Unsecured Bond.

REAL Health Care Reform

On Friday, Politico released a draft of the GOP proposals to take down ObamaCare. They include eliminating the individual mandate, income-based premium subsidies, and all of the law’s taxes. In addition, Medicare spending would be lowered and states would be given money for high risk pools aimed at covering pre-existing conditions. All of the details regarding the plan’s cost will be influenced by CBO findings and the effect on the federal deficit. Yet if Republicans are serious about creating a so-called “patient centered” plan, it might be extremely useful to heed the words of Florida attorney and former Florida hospital president, Steven I. Weissman. “The biggest problem in health care is that there is no pricing at all,” Weissman explains. “It is not a coincidence that the only product or service permitted to be sold in the U.S. without legitimate pricing is the one which has imposed tremendous financial hardship.”

Last week, Fox News' Tucker Carlson interviewed Weissman to find out why. The first question he asked and the answer he received was enlightening — and infuriating. “Is there a connection between the amount of money spent on lobbying on health care, and the dysfunction in the health care system?” Carlson asked.

“Absolutely,” Weissman answered. “You can call me a cynic, but the health care industry spends more on lobbying than the oil and gas industries, defense industries and aerospace industries combined.”

Weissman is on the money, so to speak. According to OpenSecrets.org, the total amount of money spent on lobbying for defense, aerospace, and oil and gas is $317 million.

Health care lobbying? A whopping $509.5 million.

As a result, Weissman insists the politicians in Washington, DC, are working to solve the health care problem on the wrong end of the equation. “Repeal ObamaCare, replace ObamaCare, amend ObamaCare and all of the plans are based on the false ideas that we have an insurance problem in the United States, when what we really have … is a health care billing problem, a medical price problem,” he insists.

Weissman highlights an absurdity to which millions of Americans have resigned themselves. “You ask the price of any service, you can’t get a straight answer,” the doctor explains. “The only answer you’ll ever get is ‘what insurance do you have?’”

Dems plan to bring illegal immigrants to tonight's speech. ...Trump should bring immigration officers

If Dems want 'total war,' give it to them.

Back in 2008, Barack Obama famously said: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

It was a mantra of escalation that would serve him well for the next eight years. His "achievements" may be collapsing or headed for repeal but, on balance, he got what he wanted by playing a smarter, meaner, and tougher game than his opponents. Last week we learned that Democrats intend to employ his strategies - en masse - for the entirety of President Trump's tenure.

As the New York Times reported, they've opted for "Total War" with the Trump administration.

We'll see some of their efforts surrounding Trump's speech tonight. A cadre of the President's enemies are planning a host of actions designed to troll the President before, during, and after his address. Rosie O’Donnell will be leading a march on the White House just prior to the telecast. Dems have invited Meryl Streep to attend (though it's not entirely clear how serious the invitation was, or if it was accepted) and at least six Democrat congressmen have announced that they will be bringing illegal immigrants to "educate the President" about the people impacted by his immigration policy.

Subject: Former Trump Advisor: Paul Ryan Should Step Down If He Cannot Pass Obamacare Repeal

Betsy McCaughey, a former Donald Trump economic advisor, said that Speaker Ryan should step down if he cannot pass an Obamacare repeal package.

Speaking to radio host John Castimatidis on AM 970 in New York, McCaughey said, “If he can’t do his job as Speaker, to hold these Republicans together and get a repeal and replace bill through, somebody else should be Speaker.”

Betsy McCaughey, the former lieutenant governor of New York, said that “Obamacare is in a death spiral,” and accused Speaker Ryan of pushing for “Obamacare-lite.”

McCaughey is not the first Republican to oppose the Ryan plan to replace Obamacare. House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) said that the Ryan plan’s refundable tax credits could amount to a new “entitlement program.” Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX) has said that taxing expensive employer-sponsored health insurance plans creates a new “Cadillac tax.”

Owings Mills JCC, Jewish Day Schools Targets Of Bomb Threat

The Jewish Community Center in Owings Mills became the latest Jewish institution to receive a bomb threat in a rash of anti-Semitic incidents across the country.

Baltimore County police said the bomb threat was called into the JCC, located in the 3500 block of Gwynnbrook Avenue, at about 10 a.m. Police responded to the scene at 10:10 a.m. and the scene was cleared by 11:07 a.m.

JCC CEO Barak Hermann confirmed the threat with a statement posted on the organization’s website. Hermann said the threat was called into the front desk.

The Owings Mills facility was one of multiple JCCs and Jewish day schools on the East Coast that received threats on Monday, including the Aleph Bet Jewish Day School in Annapolis and the Charles E Smith Jewish Day School's upper school campus in Rockville.

You Can’t Make the Fed Better Just by Hiring Different People

Via The Daily Bell

Trump’s Fed Can Start a Central Bank Revolution … President Donald Trump will select three members of the Federal Reserve board during his term in office, including a replacement chair for Janet Yellen when her appointment expires early next year. He should seize the chance to refresh the Fed with faces from the business community, adding executives to the roster of PhD economists who currently run monetary policy in most of the world. -Bloomberg

The Federal Reserve and its defenders are changing the subject. At one point Trump had talked about auditing the Fed and others had talked about using the audit to damage the Fed so badly that it would have to shut down.

But now the end result has shifted. The idea is not to shut it down but to make it better by hiring people from the business community instead of from academia.

Appointing executives to the Fed who’ve had to take fiscal and monetary policy into account when making decisions on where and when to build new factories or make other capital expenditure decisions makes sense.

Torsten Slok, the chief international economist for Deutsche Bank AG, sent around a chart last week showing how the composition of the Fed has become increasingly focused on PhD economists:

It’s little wonder that in this populist age central bank independence is under attack. As Bloomberg News reported on Monday, the rise of populism is putting pressure on central banks as “institutions stuffed with unelected technocrats wielding the power to affect the economic fate of millions.”

Retail Apocalypse Gains Momentum As David Stockman Warns ‘Everything Will Grind To A Halt’ After March 15th

Economic reality is about to come knocking

J.C. Penney and Family Christian Stores are the latest retail giants to announce widespread store closings.

As you will see below, J.C. Penney plans to close between 130 and 140 stores, and Family Christian is closing all of their 240 stores. In recent months the stock market has been absolutely soaring, and so most people have simply assumed that the “real economy” must be doing well. But that is not the case at all. In fact, the retail apocalypse that I have been documenting for quite some time appears to be gaining momentum.

J.C. Penney is not in as rough shape as Sears is just yet, but it is definitely on a similar trajectory. In the end, they are both headed for bankruptcy. That is why it wasn’t too much of a surprise when J.C. Penney announced that they are getting rid of about 6,000 workers and closing at least 130 stores

A Viewer Writes, "Shame On Everyone"

Just a thought about the lady who was attacked, Bill Cosby's accusers didn't come forward because they knew their integrity would come into question and because of who he was. It took a comedian 20 years later to finally put the information out there in the form of an inside joke before women finally came forward and oh what an avalanche it was.

On any given night on a college campus women become victims if they drink to much, party with the wrong crowd or end up in the wrong room or house. The statistics are much higher than what is reported because the victim gets victimized a second time in court.

Where are the women that should be outraged that instead of believing this victim the "authorities " are painting this as a "fake news" story!

Women haven't gotten any further in their quest for equal treatment as long as they keep getting dismissed by local male figures of authority. Shame on everyone!

Tennessee Veterinary Board Threatens Jail Time for Giving Unlicensed Horse Massages

Martha Stowe and Laurie Wheeler were threatened with fines and jail time by the Tennessee Veterinary Board for practicing equine myofascial release without veterinary degrees.

A decade ago, Martha Stowe founded True Equine, an equine-services company, a few miles south of Nashville, Tenn., in Williamson County. After earning a certificate in equine myofascial release, a massage technique that releases tension and pain in a horse’s body, Martha soon acquired a large clientele. “For performance horses, this is important,” Stowe tells National Review. “You want them to have complete range of motion.”

Two years after Stowe’s business started to rake in profits, her husband, Kirk, was deployed to Iraq — and, since his return, Kirk has been out of the workforce. “I became the sole breadwinner,” Stowe says. Ultimately, it was Stowe’s decision to specialize in equine myofascial release that allowed her family of four to stay afloat during tough times.

In First On-The-Record Briefing, Jeff Sessions Focuses On Violent Crime

Attorney General Jeff Sessions pledged to devote federal resources to combat violent crime and to shore up morale across the nation's police departments, on Monday in his first on-the-record briefing as the top U.S. law enforcement officer.

"I'm already hearing from state and local people that they're concerned about a lack of federal support and leadership" in the face of rising murder rates in some major cities, Sessions told reporters at the Justice Department. "My judgment is this is not a blip and we're seeing, I'm afraid, a longer term trend of violent crime going up, which is not what we want in America."

He vowed more consistent prosecution of criminals who carry guns in the course of their crimes, insisting that approach will rid the streets of dangerous people responsible for a spike in violence in some major cities. Criminologists report the overall U.S. violent crime rate remains near record lows, historically.

Pretend journalist, Jorge Ramos, says illegals who commit identity theft do so to 'benefit our lives'

Feel free to steal Ramos's identity.

No doubt you remember Jorge Ramos - the perpetually outraged, virtue-signaling, illegal immigration activist who pretends to be a journalist - from that time President Trump had him thrown out of a press conference. After it happened, Ramos enjoyed a few extra minutes of fame, made the anti-Trump media rounds, then faded back to his previous level of mid-range notoriety. Unfortunately, with the illegal immigration issue still front-and-center, Ramos rears his head every so often.

His responses are predictable in the extreme: Illegal immigrants are wonderful. As long as they're non-violent their myriad crimes are no big deal, and the U.S. should have something close to an open-border policy regarding Mexico.

In fact, if Ramos is to be believed, crimes like identity theft (and the falsification of state and federal documents) are completely justifiable. Why? Because they're only committed so that illegals can "benefit our lives."

Can Sex Offenders Be Barred From Social Media? Justices Lean Toward No

It was, to be blunt, sex day at the Supreme Court. The justices heard two cases, both involving men who had been punished for having consensual sex with a minor. In one case, a 21-year-old legal resident of the U.S. was ordered deported after he pleaded no contest to having sex with his 16-year-old girlfriend. That would not be a crime in 43 states or under federal law, but it was enough to get him deported for having committed an "aggravated felony" in California.

In the second case, a North Carolina man was convicted first for having sex with a minor, and arrested again seven years later for violating a state ban on social media use by sex offenders.

The U.S. Supreme Court appears ready to invalidate the North Carolina law he was arrested under, which makes it a crime for registered sex offenders to use Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. At oral arguments Monday, at least six justices indicated serious doubts about the statute.

Bush: It’s Hard to Unify the Country With the News Media Being So Split Up

In an appearance Monday on NBC’s “Today,” former President George W. Bush was asked by show host Matt Lauer about President Donald Trump’s pledge to unify the nation.

“First of all, there’s only within been one month in office — you know, he’s got four years,” he said. “Secondly, I think you have to take the man at his word that he wants to unify the country. We’ll see if he’s able to do so. It’s hard to unify the country with the news media being so split up. When I was president, you mattered a lot more because there were three of you. And now, there’s all kinds of information being bombarded out. And people can say things anonymously. And it’s just a different world.”

When asked if he ever considered the media to be an “enemy” of the people, as Trump had alleged, Bush stressed the importance of the media to hold those in power accountable.

Md. senate nixes opt-out bill on school animal dissections

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland Senate has cut down a bill that would have allowed students to opt out of animal dissections.

The measure brought a spirited debate during the senate’s session Monday night before it was rejected.

Sen. Ron Young, a Frederick County Democrat, says animal dissections are no longer necessary. He also says alternative methods are cheaper, and 18 other states allow students to opt out.

But Sen. Nancy King, a Montgomery County Democrat, says local school boards can address the issue better than state lawmakers.

Week Seven: Halfway to Sine Die

Mark Your Calendars

We are halfway through the 2017 Legislative Session and we know the pace will steadily increase up until Sine Die on Monday, April 10!

I welcome meetings with all organizations and value a diversity of ideas and opinions and this week we met with the Sierra Club, Maryland Campaign to Keep Antibiotics Effective, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in regards to bills that were heard in the Environment and Transportation Committee. I also met with the Maryland Municipal League regarding Highway User Revenues.

We also had quite a few friends from the Shore visit us this week such with local members of the Maryland Federation of Republican Women on Tuesday for Red Scarf Day, Celeste Ziara from Chesapeake Healthcare, and Nate Samson, a student from Salisbury Christian School!

During our weekly Eastern Shore Delegation meeting we welcomed the Worcester County Developmental Center, Lower Shore Enterprises, and the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy. Afterward, myself and, other members of the Delegation, were interviewed by Greg Bassett from PAC14 and the Salisbury Independent.
Recovering Revenue
On Thursday, March 2, our Highway User Revenue bills (HB0942 andHB0946) will be heard in the Environment and Transportation Committee where I serve. The bills would not only assist the current needs of road maintenance but would also establish a long-term source of funding for future municipal transportation projects.
Honoring Veterans
On Friday, March 3, our bill to exempt taxes from nonprofit organizations that support Veterans (HB0922) will be heard in the Ways and Means Committee. This bill would exempt the sales tax on purchases made from nonprofits that support veteran’s groups with at least 88% of the proceeds. Last year, Jeff Merritt, from Operation We Care, testified on the bill. We had great support last year and we’re hopeful that we’ll see passage this year!

Last week concluded with the Salisbury Elks Lodge #817 Citizen of the Year event on Saturday. We joined in honoring Mayor Jake Day for his continued dedication to Salisbury. Looking forward, this coming week has been highly anticipated because we will be having our bill hearings! I firmly believe these bills are beneficial to our community and hope to celebrate their successful passage with you soon.
Our 2017 Scholarship Application is now available! If you live in District 38B and are interested in applying, please send an email to Carl.Anderton@house.state.md.us. Applicants must have plans to attend college in Maryland.
As always, if you would like to contact us with an idea, issue, or concern,

Exclusive: Obama Illegally Robbed Fannie, Freddie to Fund Obamacare

Obama diverted money from low-income housing to keep Obamacare alive

WASHINGTON, D.C. –
Will this be the final nail in the coffin for the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as “Obamacare?”

Federal court litigation provides evidence the Obama administration illegally diverted taxpayer funds that had not been appropriated by Congress in an unconstitutional scheme to keep Obamacare from imploding.

In 2016, a U.S. District judge caught the Obama administration’s Health and Human Services Department acting unconstitutionally and therefore put an end to the illegal diversion of taxpayer funds, but the Obama administration didn’t stop there.

Not All Bug Repellents Are Equal

Pay attention to the ingredients of bug sprays and other repellents, because they're not equally effective at warding off mosquitoes that carry diseases like Zika virus, researchers say.

Products with DEET or oil of lemon eucalyptus, which contains an ingredient known as PMD, are more effective at repelling the Aedes aegypti mosquito that carries Zika, chikungunya, yellow fever and dengue, researchers found.

Wearable devices advertised as mosquito repellents should largely be avoided, their data suggest.

With the recent outbreak of Zika virus, many mosquito repellents became best-selling products, said Immo Hansen, of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, the senior member of the research team.

"They’re very popular," Hansen told Reuters Health, citing the number of products for sale just on Amazon.com.

Audio: Anti-Trump Forces Fake A Hostile Republican Town Hall

Leaked audio from an anti-Trump protest group meeting reveals activists with anti-Trump group Indivisible plotting how to best manufacture a hostile environment at a town hall with Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana on Friday.

The audio, obtained by local radio station KPEL, reveals a coordinated effort to create the public impression that Cassidy’s support for Trump is unpopular with his constituents. The activists, who describe themselves as liberals in the audio, can be heard strategizing how to best turn a local town hall into a political victory.

Rush Limbaugh: Turn Off the TV, Don't Read the News

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh doled out some advice on his show Monday concerning the media: if you don't like what you hear or read, turn it off.

A caller asked Limbaugh what he should do when he hears things that frustrate him or that might not be true on national media outlets.

"Do you want to live a better life? Do you really want to have a normal, optimistic outlook on life every day? Don't watch that stuff!" Limbaugh said. "Don't watch CNN. Don't read The New York Times. If you look at Drudge and if you see headlines that portend the end of the world tomorrow, don't click on it.

"Just avoid the crap that pollutes the daily so-called news that comes from left-wing news organizations. You will be amazed. And it doesn't take long, either. Just two days. You go on a Drive-By Media fast, two days of it, and your outlook on life will be dramatically improved."

A Comment Worthy Of A Post

Alexis said...

As someone who was raped at 17 in western md I can tell you that all types of government officials cover up these things and pretend they don't happen. When I was taken to the hospital the first thing the "specially trained trauma nurse" said to me was that the states attorney wouldn't be happy to hear that the room had to be used...I was thinking it was because it meant someone had been assaulted... But, she continued with "it hasn't been used since last June and he's still talking about how that incident effected his career". I remember this so distinctly because I had grown up with this mans daughter and had many sleepovers in his own house and I didn't believe a word of it. Until I started talking to detectives who not only told me that since I was " basically 18" so there were no laws to help me with statutory rape in Maryland (which is NOT true!!!) And then later tried to persuade me away from allowing the nurse to take pictures of me (which she informed me that cases without pictures generally aren't taken seriously in court) because they "didn't think I'd want someone who I knew that well to see pictures of me like that". My mother at that point said he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near my case because of the relationship and it would be a major conflict of interest and both detectives at that point told me no, he would be literally looking at the pictures with a microscope... After a while of this it became very apparent where all this was going. They didn't want me to " complain " about what happened because a complaining woman means a court case and a court case means publicity. Unfortunately, many of these elected officials dont care if rapes happen- they just don't want them to become public knowledge because that could effect how people see them and trust them. Not surprisingly, a month later I got a call that all of my clothes, the samples they collected, nearly my entire rape kit, had been "misplaced". Because if you can't get the woman to quiet her voice that's the next best thing because prosecutors don't even like rape cases because of how hard they are to win- NO prosecutor is going to trial with an eighth of a rape kit. The detective acted like this was the best thing that could happen and told me he didn't think I could understand the " emotional turmoil" a court case could cause and that I could "finally start healing now"... He didn't understand why I started crying and couldn't talk until he awkwardly hung up the phone... By saying I could start healing now he suggested that I was safe, other people were safe from this man, and maybe I had gotten some type of justice. Instead, I had to withdraw from college, try to completely avoid an entire part of the county, and pray pray pray that this all hadn't just taught this man that he could get away with it so he'd do it again, and again, and again. But yet, maybe that's already what was happening. Maybe he'd already realized that these cases and their victims are generally not taken seriously and are pushed out of sight, out of mind. These officials are doing no one a favor by suppressing these stories...and this article really shows the proof of that. It says the police officer says it was a " professional job"...well with 15 victims and possibly more that didn't come forward I'm sure they've become quite efficient. The saddest part is that by not even giving some type of warning out to the public these officials are allowing these women to put themselves in dangerous situations and not even realize it. We need to open our eyes to the realities around us, no matter how dim and dark, and protect ourselves; because obviously no one else is going to.

Oscars Broadcast Least Watched Since 2008

Sunday night's Academy Awards broadcast was one of the least-watched Oscars in history.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show averaged 32.9 million viewers, the lowest figure since the dismal 2008 show that pulled an Oscars-low of 31.8 million viewers.

Sunday's broadcast on ABC was marred by a mix-up as to who won Best Picture. Faye Dunaway opened the envelope and revealed that "La La Land" had won, but moments later it was announced that a mistake had been made and the wrong envelope was opened. In reality, "Moonlight" actually won.

According to the Los Angeles Times, however, the show's length of nearly four hours meant that the Best Picture snafu happened after Nielsen had already measured the audience numbers, so it did not count toward the overall figure.

Arizona rancher on Sinaloa cartel: ‘They control the whole area'

Wave after wave – night after night and day after day.

It’s a familiar sight for some ranchers along the Mexico-Arizona border: heavily armed drug and human smugglers.

They cross into the state, traveling on foot for miles and carrying their load on their backs – the drugs inside could be worth millions.

The smugglers will do whatever it takes to get it to its destination.

That’s why rancher Jim Chilton wants a border wall completed along the country’s southern boundary with Mexico.

“The Sinaloa cartel has cartel scouts on our mountains and they essentially control the area,” he said.

Black SNL Writer Says She Wants To Punch White Women In The Face

A black Saturday Night Live writer is under fire after cracking a joke about white people who support Black Lives Matter.

Leslie Jones, a comedian, made fun of white people who stand with the Black Lives Matter movement during one of her stand-ups in New York City, reports The Grio.

“If I see another 45-year-old white woman from Williamsburg saying ‘black lives matter,’ I’m going to punch you in the mouth,” Jones quipped, before adding “Stop doing that.”

People quickly accused Jones of being racist, and bigoted toward white people who want to be a part of the Black Lives Matter movement. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton called Jones out for her comments.

Trump Supporters Who Boycotted the Oscars Get VIOLENTLY ASSAULTED By Liberals

About a dozen Trump supporters protested outside of the Oscars yesterday. They tried to be peaceful and just wanted to get their message across. That was until the ‘mean girls’ showed up and got in their face. Police were standing right there when it happened, or it could have been a lot worse. One of the women supporting President Trump had a placard torn out of her hands and destroyed right there. Then the blonde who did it, launched herself at the Trump supporter and the fists started flying. The police stepped in and pulled them apart.

At first, the blonde was being handcuffed and led off, but in the end it looked like they just let her go. Her brunette friend went all vile and vulgar and was getting in the faces of the protesters and she wasn’t reprimanded at all by the police. She was threatened with being arrested, but that was it. The attacker’s friend also was seen on video clashing with a male Trump supporter who told her she’s “fake and phony” and has “no respect.” Ever classy, the Trump hater flipped him off and turned around and grabbed her ass. Nice.

Transgender Activist: Wanting Single-Sex Shower Rooms For Kids is ‘Prejudiced’

We’re getting to a point in American history where is going to be extremely difficult to create satire that is more bizarre or shocking than what is actually taking place right now.

I mean come on, when you see an article that claims someone said that if you don’t put your child at risk in a “gender inclusive” bathroom with people who may not have the purest of intentions you’re a bigot, you’re going to automatically assume that it’s a joke in some way. Unfortunately, that’s not the case anymore.

Women, 96, dies from bed bugs at caretaker's home

An elderly woman died from bed bugs after an infestation of the parasites occurred at her caretaker's home, who is now facing charges of involuntary manslaughter and neglect of care.

Mary Stoner, 96, was rushed to an emergency room two days after she was moved out of caretaker Deborah Butler's home in Hanover, Pennsylvania, in February 2016.

Doctors found that Stoner had sores and an infection from bug bites and when she died days later, the autopsy determined it was from 'complications of sepsis following a bed bug infestation'.

West Manheim Township Police searched the home of Butler, 72, and they found a massive infestation of the vermin, as they crawled on walls, in sheets and on pillows, leading to a felony charge filed against Butler on Friday.

2/25 Golden Gloves Results

From L to R  Thomas Mottingerm Russell Giffith (Champions) Jordan Brown, Gavin Brown (Champion) Brendan Narranjo (Champion) Markeeses Hines,  James McMurdo,  Corey Moore.

In the 2nd week of the famed Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament, four Main St boxers went to battle with two of the four winning the Washington, D.C. Golden Gloves Championship.

Gavin Brown of Delmar won the 8yr & 9yr old, 95lb division Championship after taking on a very tough Khyrie Proctor from the D.C. area. Brown had the best outing to date as he landed numerous jabs and right hands throughout the fight. The ringside doctor intervened to stop action and clean the blood from Proctors nose and let the bout continue. In the end Brown received a unanimous win for his work.

In Main St.’s second bout of the night Russell Griffith stepped up to outpoint a very tough Owen Pannucci, of Bowerhouse Gym in Frederick MD... It was only Griffith’s second fight, he moved very well in the ring and landed solid punches to dominate and grab the title of 2017 Washington, D.C. 110lb Golden Glove Champion. The bout was awarded to Griffith on points after ringside doctor checked damage to Pannicci’s nose and number of times throughout the fight.

Jordan Brown of Delmar fought the best fight of his career, but lost by a 3-2 split decision.

Brown looked very solid throughout the fight, but came up just short of the victory.

The last boxer up for the Salisbury crew was Markeese Hines in the 152lb novice division. Hines was in with a very hard hitting Davonte Warren of Odenton Boxing.

After getting caught with a hard shot early in the bout, Hines started moving side to side and landing clean combinations then ducking out unscathed. He continued to land and move through round 1 and well into round 2. At the end of the 2nd round Warren trapped Hines in the corner and landed 2 solid punches which brought the referee in to check Hines’ ability to continue.

It was the opinion of the referee to stop the bout, though Hines wanted to continue. Coach Hal Chernoff said, “It was a good stoppage and I have no problem with it. Markeese does not have a lot of experience yet and did not understand that when a referee is checking on your condition, you have to convince them leaving no doubt that you are ready and willing to continue. Even the slightest hesitation will cause a ref to stop a bout in the name of safety. The next time Markeese fights he will know that he has to prove his readiness to the ref if he want to continue. He came out of the bout unhurt and with a lot of knowledge that will serve him well in his next fight, mainly that when you are doing something that is working, you have to keep your focus to continue doing it. But Markeese showed us some very impressive skills in this bout. We are very proud of all kids tonight; they fought their hearts out and gave 100%. Our whole coaching staff is seeing these kids turning a corner and grown mentally as well as physically.

Saturday March 4th, 152lb open class, Corey Moore is our only bout. It’s a very tough division but Corey has great speed, so we are looking for good performance from him. Still left to compete are Thomas Mottinger and James McMurdo.

The month and a half long tournament is being held at the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington MD. And will move on to the Golden Glove Regional finals in April.

Drunk driver’s mom jailed for laughing at victim’s family

A Detroit judge threw the mother of a drunk driver out of her courtroom and into the slammer for laughing during a victim’s statement about the man her daughter killed while driving drunk last June.

Amanda Kosal, 25, was waiting to be sentenced Thursday for the crime that killed Jerome Zirker, a father of five, when her mother, Donna, and her boyfriend laughed and smiled during a victim statement from Zirker’s sister, according to WDIV Local 4 in Detroit.

Judge Qiana Lillard wasn’t having any of it and ordered the boyfriend out of the room, calling him a “clown.”

“It’s time for him to go … Whoever can sit here at a tragic moment like this and laugh and smile when somebody has lost a family member, I mean the entire time that Mr. Zirker’s sister was speaking, that clown, and that’s what I am going to call him, a clown, was sitting there smiling and laughing,” the enraged judge spat at the unruly audience member.

Donna followed her beau out of the courtroom and Lillard said, “You can go too because if you don’t know how to act, you can go to jail, so leave.”

Shortly after, Donna was brought back in and exchanged words with the judge, who sentenced her to 93 days in jail for contempt of court.

Millennials will never get to live alone

There’s more evidence that renters are just as likely to be struggling as homeowners.

A typical renter in Miami would need to spend nearly 50% of his or her income to rent a one-bedroom apartment, but a typical millennial renter would need to spend 54% of his or her income in that city, according to a new analysis of rental listings by real estate site Trulia. In Los Angeles, millennials pay nearly 39% of their monthly rent versus 34% for the average renter. In New York, they pay as much as the average renter (34%) and pay slightly less than the average renter in San Francisco (33.5% versus for the average renter 37%).

The solution is simple, though maybe not ideal for everyone: In America’s biggest rental markets, a renter can save on average 13% of his or her income by getting a roommate. While splitting an apartment with a roommate will save money, the benefits of sharing a living space vary from city to city, home to home. In Miami, millennials save 19% of their income in a two-bedroom apartment and they can save 14% in Los Angeles and New York, but only 9.5% in Washington, D.C. In all cases, except Miami, they can pay less than 30% of their income on rent by having a roomie.

Gas prices stable as U.S. boosts production

Gas prices remained stable in Delaware during the past week as the spring and summer driving season approaches.

The price at the pump averaged $2.21 in the state, down a penny from a week ago.

Wilmington-based AAA Atlantic reported that during the past week, retail gas averages moved downward by only a cent or two.

Prices continue to remain flat due to less driving and an oversupplied market, due to increased U.S. production. New individual and commercial vehicles are also more fuel efficient, putting further pressure on prices.
