Exclusive – Jeff Sessions Orders Look into 'DOJ Slush Fund' Payments to Leftists

An internal Department of Justice memorandum obtained by Breitbart News Friday indicates Attorney General Jeff Sessions is trying to get to the bottom of the DOJ “slush fund” for left-wing groups he dismantled in June.

The memo asks all components of the DOJ to recount the last ten years of payments made to non-governmental organizations as third parties in settlements and provide that information to Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, the number three Justice official. These “cy pres” payments were a long-standing policy of having mostly corporate defendants, for example in a civil rights suit, agree to pay into charities as part of their settlement with the government to avoid further prosecution.

In recent years, especially during the Obama administration, the practice increasingly funneled funds to left-wing “community organizing” groups such as the now renamedNational Council of La Raza, or “The Race,” a Latino racial advocacy group that supports mass illegal immigration. Congressional Republicans and conservative groups decried the payments for years, often characterizing the system as a “slush fund” for leftists but, since they were made under the auspices of the Department of Justice using broad, decades-old legislation, it was difficult to rein in.

Maxine Waters: Trump Is The Most "Deplorable" Person I've Ever Met

Maxine Waters was, famously, the first member of Congress to call for President Donald Trump’s impeachment long before Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia began.

And though no concrete evidence has surfaced to justify impeachment or collusion, Waters has kept up her attacks on Trump, saying onMSNBC that she believes both parties will band together to fire the president once Mueller successfully produces his smoking gun – whatever it may be – which should be happening any day now, she said.

According to Waters, Trump is a “deplorable” person who should’ve triggered more red flags in the intelligence community.

Pugh Crime-Fighting Plan Includes Free Community College

Mayor Catherine Pugh unveiled her crime-fighting plan following the Board of Estimates meeting Wednesday and part of that plan includes free college for Baltimore's youth.

Pugh unveiled what she called a "violence-reduction plan," looking at the following key areas:
  • Making Baltimore Safe: Improve effective policing, focus on repeat offenders and increase police clearance rates.
  • Keeping Baltimore Healthy: resources for addiction recovery, a 24-hour city stabilization center that is strategically located, increasing Narcan availability, expanding the Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) to help those in need.

Doctors hesitate to prescribe drug treating opioid addicts

Doctors are hesitant to prescribe a drug that treats opioid addiction and withdrawal, a new survey revealed.

One of the two drugs that treats opioid addiction is being underprescribed, especially when taking into account the spike in numbers addicted.

Most doctors said they don't want to prescribe the drug because they don't want to be flooded with new patient requests according to the study at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Maryland.

And among the doctors that can prescribe it, a number didn't want to give it to new people because they don't feel they can take on new patients.

Michelle Obama’s school lunch guru indicted for stealing money from school lunch program

Do you ever find yourself wondering why and how the liberals fell in love with Michelle and Barack Obama? I do, and today is one of those times when I am scratching my head — what was America thinking voting for this couple? That said, I really hope you share this article because it will get virtually no play with the mainstream media.

Back in 2014, Michelle Obama invited a food services director from California to the White House for a round table discussion. Reportedly, the first lady wanted to pick the guy’s brain for ideas and suggestions on how to get school kids to eat healthier.

The guys’s name is David Binkle. If you live in Los Angeles, this name is probably very familiar to you because he’s making headlines this week.

Binkle has been indicted for stealing $65,000 in public funds. You have to laugh, or perhaps cry, when you think about how Michelle Obama and her husband have a knack for circling themselves with losers.

This One Chart Perfectly Explains Why The Auto Market Is Doomed

Earlier today Bloomberg posted the following chart comparing new vehicle sales in the United States to scrappage rates of old clunkers. Now, what should immediately catch your eye (even without the huge red circle we felt compelled to add), is the fact that new car sales have been massively outstripping scrappage rates for the past 5 years.

Of course, as many of you will undoubtedly note, there are plenty of legitimate reasons why new car sales may outstrip scrappage rates in certain markets. We completely agree...but, unfortunately, none of them apply to the U.S. automotive market.

One reason could be that the market is simply under-penetrated. That said, with a fleet of ~265mm light vehicles on the road today vs. a driving age population of only ~255mm people, or just over 1 car per person, we would say the market is fairly penetrated.

Another possible explanation for this phenomenon could be population growth. Taking a look, we find that new car sales outstripped scrappage by about 5 million units in 2016 which, on a base of 265 million vehicles, implies population growth of 1.9%. Unfortunately, the U.S. population is growing at exactly one-half that rate...

Which leaves us with one remaining explanation: a massive debt and lease-fueled auto bubble that has been sparked by a ridiculous buying spree courtesy of everyone with a pulse suddenly rushing out to trade in their 10-year-old Maxima for a brand new BMW....because you can 'afford' it so long as you can get approved for a 0% interest, 8-year loan which pegs your monthly payment at that magical $400 mark...

15-Year-Old Boy Undergoes Sex Change. What Happens Next Is Heartbreaking.

As conservatives throw cold water on the push to give children suffering from gender confusion puberty blockers and put them on the path to "change" their sex via medical means, the Left is doing their best to drown-out their warnings with phony shouts of "transphobia." But the Left's misguided stance is leaving a wake of real victims in its path, tragically and predictably so.

This seems to be the case with 23-year-old Ria Cooper, born Brad Cooper, who has "swapped" his sex a reported three times.

Cooper, a biological male, was put on the fast-track to change his sex at the young age of 15, making him "Britain's youngest sex-swap patient," reports The Mirror. The confused young man then reversed the sex change process at 18-years-old after compounding confusion and, sadly, two suicide attempts. And, now, at age 23, Cooper has decided to switch his sex for a third time.

Visualizing The Fiery Death Of American Manufacturing

On Wednesday, the US added 178k private sector jobs in July, verse 185k jobs expected. The number was just shy of Wall Street estimates, and did not stop the mainstream media and Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi from saying, “the American job machine continues to operate in high gear.”

This ADP report sounds great, but underneath the surface a majority of additions are non-productive jobs called ‘Service-providing’. What is not widely spoken about on the mainstream media is the loss in –4k manufacturing jobs.

Child miners aged four living a hell on Earth so YOU can drive an electric car

Picking through a mountain of huge rocks with his tiny bare hands, the exhausted little boy makes a pitiful sight.

His name is Dorsen and he is one of an army of children, some just four years old, working in the vast polluted mines of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where toxic red dust burns their eyes, and they run the risk of skin disease and a deadly lung condition. Here, for a wage of just 8p a day, the children are made to check the rocks for the tell-tale chocolate-brown streaks of cobalt – the prized ingredient essential for the batteries that power electric cars.

And it’s feared that thousands more children could be about to be dragged into this hellish daily existence – after the historic pledge made by Britain to ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars from 2040 and switch to electric vehicles.

Record Number Of Dallas Police Officers Quit In July Amid Ongoing Pension Crisis

We first introduced readers to the Dallas Police and Fire Pension (DPFP) crisis last summer in a post entitled "Dallas Cops' Pension Fund Nears Insolvency In Wake Of Shady Real Estate Deals, FBI Raid." For those who have managed to avoid this particular storyline for the past 15 months, here is a brief recap of how it all started from our original post on the topic:

The Dallas Police & Fire Pension (DPFP), which covers nearly 10,000 police and firefighters, is on the verge of collapse as its board and the City of Dallas struggle to pitch benefit cuts to save the plan from complete failure. According the the National Real Estate Investor, DPFP was once applauded for it's "diverse investment portfolio" but turns out it may have all been a fraud as the pension's former real estate investment manager, CDK Realy Advisors, was raided by the FBI in April 2016 and the fund was subsequently forced to mark down their entire real estate book by 32%. Guess it's pretty easy to generate good returns if you manage a book of illiquid assets that can be marked at your "discretion".

To provide a little background, per the Dallas Morning News, Richard Tettamant served as the DPFP's administrator for a couple of decades right up until he was forced out in June 2014. Starting in 2005, Tettamant oversaw a plan to "diversify" the pension into "hard assets" and away from the "risky" stock market...because there's no risk if you don't have to mark your book every day. By the time the "diversification" was complete, Tettamant had invested half of the DPFP's assets in, effectively, the housing bubble. Investments included a $200mm luxury apartment building in Dallas, luxury Hawaiian homes, a tract of undeveloped land in the Arizona desert, Uruguayan timber, the American Idol production company and a resort in Napa.

Despite huge exposure to bubbly 2005/2006 vintage real estate investments, DPFP assets "performed" remarkably well throughout the "great recession." But as it turns out, Tettamant's "performance" was only as good as the illiquidity of his investments. We guess returns are easier to come by when you invest your whole book in illiquid, private assets and have "discretion" over how they're valued.

In 2015, after Tettamant's ouster, $600mm of DPFP real estate assets were transferred to new managers away from the fund's prior real estate manager, CDK Realty Advisors. Turns out the new managers were not "comfortable" with CDK's asset valuations and the mark downs started. According to the Dallas Morning News, one such questionable real estate investment involved a piece of undeveloped land in the Arizona desert near Tucson which was purchased for $27mm in 2006 and subsequently sold in 2014 for $7.5mm.

Then the plot thickened when, in April 2016, according the Dallas Morning News, FBI raided the offices of the pension's former investment manager, CDK Realty Advisors. There has been little disclosure on the reason for the FBI raid but one could speculate that it might have something to do with all the markdowns the pension was forced to take in 2015 on its real estate book. At it's peak, CDK managed $750mm if assets for the DPFP.

EBT Card Transactions Will Be Unavailable Early Sunday Morning in Delaware as DHSS Transitions to New Vendor

NEW CASTLE – With the Department of Health and Social Services’ Division of Social Services transitioning to a new Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) vendor this weekend, Delaware food benefit clients will not be able to access their benefits via their EBT cards from midnight Saturday, Aug. 12, through 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13.

The conversion from JPMorgan Chase & Co. to the new vendor, Conduent, Inc., will not mean any other changes for clients of Delaware’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) beyond the brief system downtime, said Ray Fitzgerald, director of the Division of Social Services, which administers Delaware’s SNAP Program.

Fitzgerald said clients will be notified of the EBT card outage time through the DHSS website and social media outlets, and via posters in DHSS offices. Emails also are being sent to community partners, and retail outlets have been notified so that they can put up posters in their stores alerting customers that the EBT system will be down during those hours.

US Generals Want to Extend Our Longest War

Media reports claim President Donald Trump let loose on his generals behind closed doors, blasting them royally for their startling failures in Afghanistan, America’s longest war.

The president has many faults and is a lousy judge of character. But he was absolutely right to read the riot act to the military brass for daring to ask for a very large troop and budget increase for the stalemated Afghan War that has cost $1 trillion to date.

Of course, the unfortunate generals are not really to blame. They have been forced by the last three presidents to fight a pointless war at the top of the world that lacks any strategy, reason or purpose – and with limited forces. But they can’t admit defeat by lightly-armed Muslim tribesmen.

The truth is, simply, that America blundered into the Afghan War under President George W. Bush who needed a target for revenge after the humiliating 9/11 attacks. Instead of blaming Saudi Arabia, a US protectorate which was clearly involved in the attacks, Bush went after remote but strategic Afghanistan and cooked up the Osama bin Laden bogeyman story.

Joe Scarborough Thinks Your Children Should Want to Die in Wars Rather Than Playing Games

Content originally published at iBankCoin.com

Joe grew up in Florida and never bothered to join the military. I suppose he was busy playing shuffleboard or whatever the hell they do down in Pensacola. Ever since Joe entered the political scene, he's been part of the neocon gang. You know, rubbing elbows with the likes of Bill Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz or his wife's late father Zbigniew Brzezinski -- chicken hawks who clamor for the blood of young Americans in a perverse, ritualistic manner.

Now, obviously feeling his oats for being a hardcore Never Trumper, making all sorts of new friends in the liberal media, Scarborough tweeted out a criticism to today's youth, upset over their lack of enthusiasm for military service, opting to instead stay at home playing video games.
Young men in the 1940s liberated Europe from Nazism and the Pacific from the Japanese Empire. Today, too many stay home playing video games. https://twitter.com/joenbc/status/894536218591014913
Being an avid collector of old newspapers, and regular peruser of old articles on Google's News Archive, I can tell that before and during WW2, there were countless older men penning articles critical of the youth of that time, who went on to become 'the greatest generation.' They called them soft and bitter, accustomed to American decadence, unable to go toe to toe with the hardened Hitler youth.

Wrong.

Mexican Sewage Dumping Threatens Border Patrol Agents' Health

Around 59 Border Patrol agents have said they have gotten sick because of exposure to toxic chemicals and sewage dumped at the U.S.-Mexican border, according to Fox News.

Mexico has dumped millions of gallons of toxic chemicals and raw sewage into the Tijuana River, which surrounds valleys and beaches along the border. However, the Fox News report said that the U.S. has taken little action to get Mexico to clean up the area.

One Border Patrol agent told Fox News he had to stop patrolling the area on an ATV. "I like doing what I do, but now it has come to a point that every night I have headaches and every day I have headaches and nasal pain and I had to stop," said Joe Sevilla.

One agent got severe chemical burns on his feet when chemicals burned through his boots, according to the U.S. Border Patrol Local 1613 Union, in the Fox News report.

The union’s leaders blame U.S. agencies, Congress, and the International Boundary and Water Commission for not addressing the pollution. Local officials and the Border Patrol are taking aim at the IBWC, Fox News reported.

"It is going to get to the point where they cannot patrol down there. That is a national security issue," said Christopher Harris, the union’s secretary.

"If a judge rules that our agents cannot work in that area, we are going to cede this back to no man’s land," Harris said in the Fox News report. That would leave the area open to Mexican cartels to smuggle fugitives, Harris said.

The Executive Office of Immigration Review today released data on orders of removal, voluntary departures, and final decisions for the first six months of the Trump Administration.

The data released for Feb. 1, 2017 – July 31, 2017 is as follows:

  • Total Orders of Removal [1]: 49,983
    • Up 27.8 percent over the same time period in 2016 (39,113)

  • Total Orders of Removal and Voluntary Departures [2]: 57,069
    • Up 30.9 percent over the same time period in 2016 (43,595)

  • Total Final Decisions [3]: 73,127
    • Up 14.5 percent over the same time period in 2016 (63,850)

Pursuant to President Trump’s Jan. 25 Executive Order, “Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements,” the Department of Justice mobilized over one hundred existing Immigration Judges to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) detention facilities across the country. Over 90 percent of these cases have resulted in orders requiring aliens to depart or be removed from the United States. The Justice Department has also hired 54 additional Immigration Judges since President Trump took office, and continues to hire new Immigration Judges each month.

In addition to carrying out the President’s Executive Order, the Justice Department is also reviewing internal practices, procedures, and technology in order to identify ways in which it can further enhance Immigration Judges’ productivity without compromising due process.

[1] An “order of removal” by an Immigration Judge results in the removal of an illegal alien from the United States by the Department of Homeland Security.
[2] Under an order of “voluntary departure”, an illegal alien agrees to voluntarily depart the United States by a certain date. If the illegal alien does not depart, the order automatically converts to an order of removal.
[3] A “final decision” is one that ends the proceeding at the Immigration Judge level such that the case is no longer pending.

Utility Loses $2 Billion In One Year Trying To Make Obama’s Climate Agenda A Reality

Southern Company reported a loss Wednesday of $1.38 billion in the second quarter of 2017, one year after it reported $623 million in profit for the second quarter of 2016, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The $2.003 billion difference is due almost entirely to a $2.8 billion pre-tax charge Southern Company took after its Mississippi Kemper plant failed as a “clean coal” energy source.

The plant’s low-carbon, “breakthrough” technology was supposed to take coal and, through a process called gasification, combine it with oxygen and water to create synthetic gas and steam. The synthetic gas, or syngas, fuels a gas generator while the steam is collected and used to power a steam generator, according to Forbes.

Mass Of Illegals Forces Trudeau To Backtrack On Open Borders

The recent influx of illegal refugees flooding across the border into Quebec is proving to be an immigration wakeup call for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau appeared to backtrack Friday on his passive stance on illegal immigration, cautioning the so-called “asylum-seekers” that they should respect the border between Canada and the U.S.

So many Haitians have crossed illegally in the last month that the city opened the rarely used Olympic Stadium as a “welcome center.”

In January, following President Donald Trump’s first executive order to restrict entry to the U.S. from some Middle East countries, Trudeau tweeted out a message, “to those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canada will welcome you regardless of your faith.'”

Soon after, a flood of illegal refugees began appearing at remote crossings from Quebec to British Columbia.

Then, in February, Mayor Denis Coderre emphatically declared Montreal a sanctuary city.

Boomers Who Won't Sell Are Dominating the Housing Market

Jake Yanoviak is hunting for houses. On a weekday afternoon in North Philadelphia, the 23-year-old painter cruises along on his bike, its black paint obscured under stickers from breweries and rock bands. He turns onto a side street, where he spots a few elderly neighbors, standing on adjoining porches. He parks, leans on one handlebar and makes his pitch.

“Anybody on the block considering selling?” Yanoviak asks gently. “I’m not a developer, I’m not interested in renting to students. I’m just a kid trying to buy a house, fix it up and live in it.”

“We’re not going no place,” replies a 70-something woman, relaxing in fuzzy white pig slippers in the row house where she’s lived twice as long as Yanoviak has been alive. “All these houses are taken.”

Like much of his generation, Yanoviak is desperate to get a piece of an increasingly scarce commodity: prime American real estate. Millennials are finding themselves out in the cold because building has slowed, and longer-living baby boomers are staying put, setting up a simmering conflict between the two biggest generations in U.S. history.

Governor Says Dredging Near Conowingo Dam Could Help Chesapeake Bay

DARLINGTON, Md. (WJZ) — Recent signs the Chesapeake Bay is getting healthier also comes with signs a major threat of pollution sits right behind the Conowingo Dam.

Alex DeMetrick reports, the decades-old dam turns water into electricity, but that benefit also comes with a risk.

More than water is now spilling over the lip of the dam. Behind it, decades of sediment has been piling up.

Soil washed off land in New York and Pennsylvania once blocked, is now able to spill over.

“Conowingo Dam reservoir has reached capacity and is no longer able to trap sediment,” says Governor Larry Hogan.

Center for Security Policy Calls for H.R. McMaster’s Termination

The Center for Security Policy on Monday called for the firing of National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster for “disloyal and subversive behavior.”

“If such misconduct is tolerated, Trump voters will have unknowingly elected President McMaster,” the Center for Security Policy President Frank Gaffney said in the statement.

The organization said McMaster was undermining President Trump’s policies on “virtually every important foreign and defense policy issue,” and they commented on his recent purge of staff members who support the president’s agenda while keeping “large numbers of Obama holdovers” at the National Security Council.

“No voter in this country – not one – elected H.R. McMaster to run U.S. foreign policy. Actually, the winner of the 2016 election was a man who opposed virtually every aspect of the McMaster agenda – and that of the president who made its architect a three-star general, Barack Obama,” Gaffney said.

“At every turn, the Army general has been insubordinate to his Commander-in-Chief. For example, he has openly opposed Mr. Trump on ‘radical Islamic terrorism,’ Syria, Qatar, Iran, Russia and the Muslim Brotherhood. Of late, McMaster has taken to purging Mr. Trump’s most loyal staff members,” he said.

Hillary Clinton Hires Two Former Campaign Aides For "Resistance" PAC

Hillary Clinton has hired two political operatives from her 2016 presidential campaign to help manage Onward Together, the project she founded this spring with former governor Howard Dean to fund and support a coalition of Democratic groups led by activists and organizers.

The new additions, Emmy Ruiz and Adam Parkhomenko, held central roles on Clinton’s campaign: Ruiz delivered key victories as state director in Nevada during the primary and in Colorado during the general election; Parkhomenko worked in headquarters as her director of grassroots engagement before moving to the Democratic National Committee. Both served on Clinton’s first presidential bid in 2008.

Dean, the Onward Together co-founder, confirmed the recent hires on Friday. The two former campaign aides will be working on Onward Together as consultants.

Clinton's new group, registered in May as a 501c4 organization with an affiliated super PAC, [the kind of “dark money” groups Clinton and other candidates vowed during the 2016 White House race to remove from campaigns because they can hide the identity of donors] is working to establish a small but diverse cooperative of about 10 to 12 grassroots efforts, each one focused on a different area of the energy and activism set off by Donald Trump’s election and presidency.

Dean said they are still in the process vetting groups to add to the coalition, which already includes organizations such as Swing Left, Emerge America, and Run For Something.

[According to CNN: Clinton said those groups include Swing Left, a grassroots network supporting Democratic House candidates in swing districts; Emerge America, a group urging Democratic women to run for office; Color of Change, a criminal justice reform focused organization; Indivisible, the effort that has spearheaded the protests at congressional town halls across the country; and Run for Something, a group formed by former Clinton campaigns staffers that looks to urge young people to run for local office.
The group, according to an aide, will be a 501(c)(4) with a connected PAC, meaning money raised through the political nonprofit will not have to disclose donors. A Clinton aide said the group will "follow the guidelines," meaning they will not release their list of donors.]

Hillary’s deleted emails are still floating around somewhere

If the New York Times, the Washington Post and now ABC News aren’t embarrassed yet, then there is no hope for what is called the mainstream media.

Another slew of emails the other day show how these news organizations tried their best to downplay a very suspicious meeting between Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch on an airport tarmac at Phoenix in June 2016.

This was right in the middle of the FBI’s investigation into the disappearance of Hillary Clinton’s emails. Bill Clinton and Lynch said it was a chance meeting, where family matters were discussed.

A few days later, FBI Director James Comey blasted Hillary’s handling of her computers but recommended that she not be charged with any crimes.

Where's The Mayor Of Crisfield After Tornado Hits Salisbury?

When hurricane Sandy hit Crisfield, Salisbury immediately went into action and offered assistance, as did thousands of residents throughout the Eastern Shore.

However, after the tornado hit Salisbury, well, I haven't seen any public official faces willing to pay it forward on the six o'clock news, have you? Where's Rick Pollitt, the Mayor of Crisfield. Heck, where's anyone on the Eastern Shore, aside from Home Depot?

As I stated in an earlier comment, maybe now that I've called them out you'll see and or hear something because there's egg on their faces. This is what I call, "forgetting where you came from".

This Time, It's A Bubble In Rentals

Sin City’s projected 5,000 new apartment units for this year makes no noise nationally in the latest real estate craze. “In 2017, the ongoing apartment building-boom in the US will set a new record: 346,000 new rental apartments in buildings with 50+ units are expected to hit the market,” writes Wolf Richter on Wolf Street. That is three times the number of units that came on line in 2011.

Richter continues, “Deliveries in 2017 will be 21% above the prior record set in 2016, based on data going back to 1997, by Yardi Matrix, via Rent Café. And even 2015 had set a record. Between 1997 and 2006, so pre-Financial-Crisis, annual completions averaged 212,740 units; 2017 will be 63% higher!”

I’ve written before about the high-rise crane craze in Seattle, but that’s nothing compared to New York and Dallas, that are adding 27,000 and 25,000 units, respectively. Chicago is adding 7,800 units despite a shrinking population and rents decreasing 19 percent.

Monday’s Storm ‘A Frightening Couple Of Minutes’ In Ocean City, WOC

OCEAN CITY — The tornado or microburst that touched down in West Ocean City on Monday evening followed a distinct path and a trail of destruction roughly from the Ocean City Airport through West Ocean City and across the bay to 14th Street and Harbour Island, site of the 44th Annual White Marlin Open on the tournament’s first day.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for much of Worcester County and advised citizens to take shelter immediately. About an hour later, a tornado or microburst, which has not yet been clearly defined by the National Weather Service, impacted the Ocean City Airport in West Ocean City, downing trees and damaging one small airplane.

A large tree upended at the airport, falling on and damaging at least two rental cars belonging to a satellite rental car agency at the facility. In addition, a small plane that had just landed prior to the tornado warning was bounced around on the runway and suffered damage, according to airport manager Jamie Giandomenico. The two men aboard the plane immediately sought shelter upon arrival with the tornado warning posted and the aircraft was not completely secured before the high winds landed in the area.

“It was very, very localized,” he said. “It was super intense for maybe 90 seconds to two minutes. Then, it was gone just like that.”
