Gov. Larry Hogan: Not voting for Donald Trump

Republican Gov. Larry Hogan said Wednesday he's not voting for his party's presumptive presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

Hogan aides confirmed the governor told reporters "I don't plan to" vote for Trump and that he hadn't decided what to do when he goes into the voting booth in November.

The Maryland governor had said repeatedly he would not endorse the controversial real estate developer, that he had no plans to campaign for Trump and that he was skipping the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. But previously, he had declined to say whether whether he would cast a ballot for Trump.

Last week, he told reporters to google his previous comments rather than answer the question directly.

Clinton Laments Income Inequality While Wearing $12K Armani Jacket

Hillary Clinton wore a jacket that costs more than $12,000 when she discussed income inequality and other economic issues following her victory in the New York primary earlier this year.

According to the New York Post, Clinton sported the $12,495 Giorgio Armani jacket when delivering remarks in New York City in April after defeating competitor Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) in her home-state primary.

The price of the jacket constitutes roughly 40 percent of what the average American worker makes in a year. According to the most recent data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, the median income for U.S. workers in 2014 was $30,815.

OC Beach Patrol Captain Could Face Discipline After Email On Locker Room Use

The head of the Ocean City Beach patrol could be disciplined for an email he sent to his lifeguards about which locker room to use at the beach.

The Baltimore Sun obtained an email that was sent by Captain Butch Arbin to his staff.

In the email, Arbin reportedly told his staff that males use the men's locker room only. Females use the women's locker room only. He then allegedly said if you are not sure “go to Target.”

Target stores have been in the news recently as the debate continues over which bathrooms transgender people should use. Several weeks ago, Target told its customers that they could use whichever bathrooms that match their gender identity.

Salisbury Man Sentenced to 18 Years

State of Maryland v. Philip Daniel Thomas K-16-031

On June, 15, 2016, Philip Daniel Thomas, age 32, of Salisbury, Maryland, was found guilty by a jury of kidnapping and assaulting a woman he met for a date on the evening of December 19, 2015. After the trial, a circuit court judge sentenced Thomas to eighteen (18) years in the custody of the Division of Corrections.

On December 19, 2015, just after midnight, officers from the Maryland State Police stopped the defendant for performing an illegal U-turn on Nanticoke Road after the defendant’s vehicle nearly collided with the officer’s patrol car. The troopers believed Thomas to be operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol, so he was asked to perform field sobriety tests. During the course of the field sobriety tests, a female wearing tattered and blood-stained clothing limped towards the officer’s flashing police lights.

The investigation revealed that after their date had concluded, Thomas forced the 33 year-old victim into the car he was driving. He then detained the victim against her will inside the vehicle by driving at a high rate of speed southbound on Nanticoke Road toward Bivalve. The victim’s emotional testimony at trial detailed her horrifying ride on Nanticoke Road as the defendant threatened that he was going to kill the victim and hide her body. The victim, facing a desperate decision, jumped from the moving vehicle which was travelling at approximately 50 m.p.h. in order to escape her kidnapper.

After she jumped from the vehicle, Thomas made the erratic and illegal U-turn which caught the attention of the Maryland State Police trooper travelling north on Nanticoke Road toward Salisbury.

State’s Attorney, Matthew A. Maciarello, commends the Maryland State Police including Trooper Travis Workman (the astute Trooper who made the traffic stop) and Trooper William Shelter who assisted the victim once she was discovered. Maciarello commented: “This case is a prime example of how traffic enforcement often leads to the apprehension of violent felons. In this case, an astute Maryland State Trooper surely saved a life. I am so thankful for their continued service to our community.”

This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant State’s Attorney, Richard Brueckner.

Gov. Hogan: I Won't Vote For Trump

Maryland's Republican Gov. Larry Hogan says he won't vote for Donald Trump in November.

The Wednesday declaration was the first time the Trump critic said he won't be casting his ballot for the party's presumptive nominee, the Washington Post reports.

"No, I don’t plan to," the popular governor, elected in 2014, replied to a question about whether he'd cast a vote for the real estate mogul on Election Day, the Post reports.

"I guess when I get behind the curtain I’ll have to figure it out. Maybe write someone in. I’m not sure."

Arbin draws fire following release of email

Captain becomes bullseye after ‘Target’ note to staff
forwarded to metro media

It may have been an error of perception rather than intent for Ocean  City Beach Patrol Capt. Butch Arbin, after an email he sent to his staff and later forwarded to metro daily newspapers touched the nerves of advocates, pundits and at least one of his subordinates.

Arbin, a member of the beach patrol for 40 years and captain for almost 20, sent a reminder to staff on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. apparently in response to a complaint that some male members of staff were using the restrooms marked for females.

The email reads, “WE are NOT Target. USE the locker room that corresponds to your DNA. IN plain words Males use the Men’s locker room ONLY! Females use the Women’s locker room ONLY! If you’re NOT SURE go to Target.”

The idea to use Target may have been a continuation of a conversation between Arbin and staff during a training session, according to a senior member of the Beach Patrol.

Sgt. Colby Phillips, a Beach Patrol veteran of 23 years, said she was told in a meeting of sergeants and crew chiefs following the release of the email that the episode started among the rank and file in Arbin’s presence. She was not present at the time.

Arts Commission OKs Plan For Higher White House Fence

WASHINGTON (AP) — A plan to increase the overall height of the fence surrounding the White House by approximately 6 feet, about doubling its current height, won preliminary approval from a Washington arts commission Thursday.

The move follows high-profile security breaches at the executive mansion over the past two years. The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts gave its concept approval Thursday to the new design, which also includes thicker and stronger metal fence pickets. The new design still must be reviewed by a second commission, the National Capital Planning Commission. The final design also must win approval from both commissions.

Secret Service and National Park Service officials said in a statement that they hope to begin constructing the new fence by 2018.

The plans follow several fence breaches. In September 2014, a Texas man, Omar Gonzalez, managed to scale the fence, enter the executive mansion and run deep into the building. Gonzalez, who was found to be carrying a folding knife, was ultimately sentenced to 17 months in prison. The security breach prompted officials to put up a second, shorter barrier several feet in front of the fence and to restrict people from entering the space in between the two barriers. Signs tell visitors: “Restricted area” and “Do not enter.” The Secret Service polices the area.

Southern Baptists: Confederate Flag Symbolizes Hatred, Racism, Christians Shouldn't Display It

Southern Baptists, saying the Confederate flag is perceived as a "symbol of hatred, bigotry and racism," urged at their convention on Tuesday that Christians stop displaying the battle banner that offends millions of people.

The resolution, originally presented by African-American Pastor Dwight McKissic, had stirred debate and led to at least one call to withdraw it. The version presented to thousands of delegates to the denomination's annual meeting in St. Louis was less strongly worded, reported The Associated Press.

Despite some opposition on Tuesday from delegates who thought even the more conciliatory version was divisive and political, delegates voted by a wide margin to strengthen the language. They removed a sentence saying that the flag serves for some as a memorial to loved ones who died in the Civil War and not as a racist symbol.

At Pulse Memorial, Obama Blasts Republicans For Arming Terrorists

Standing at the memorial for the victims of the terrorist attack at a gay night club in Orlando, Florida, President Barack Obama implicitly blamed Republicans for the attack because they blocked gun control laws.

Obama referred to both attackers in San Bernardino and Orlando as “homegrown” and “lone wolf” terrorists who had access to guns, comparing them to other mass shooters on American soil.

“Our politics have conspired to make it as easy as possible for a terrorist — or just a disturbed individual to like those in Aurora or Newtown — to buy extraordinary powerful weapons, and they can do so legally,” he said.

Obama flew to Orlando this afternoon and was joined by Vice President Joe Biden. The pair went to the Orlando Magic arena to meet the families, about two miles from the night club where the attack occurred.

These are my work shoes from Saturday night. They are brand new, not even a week old. I came to work this morning and saw these in the corner my call room, next to the pile of dirty scrubs.
I had forgotten about them until now. On these shoes, soaked between its fibers, is the blood of 54 innocent human beings. I don't know which were straight, which were gay, which were black, or which were hispanic. What I do know is that they came to us in wave upon wave of suffering, screaming, and death. And somehow, in that chaos, doctors, nurses, technicians, police, paramedics, and others, performed super human feats of compassion and care.
This blood, which poured out of those patients and soaked through my scrubs and shoes, will stain me forever. In these Rorschach patterns of red I will forever see their faces and the faces of those that gave everything they had in those dark hours.
There is still an enormous amount of work to be done. Some of that work will never end. And while I work I will continue to wear these shoes. And when the last patient leaves our hospital, I will take them off, and I will keep them in my office. I want to see them in front of me every time I go to work. For on June 12, after the worst of humanity reared its evil head, I saw the best of humanity come fighting right back. I never want to forget that night.

David Allan Coe Is Now A Convicted Felon

David Allan Coe is in trouble with the law.

The 76-year-old country crooner has been ordered to pay the Internal Revenue Service almost $1 million after he pleaded guilty to tax evasion and failing to pay $466,000 in back taxes, interest and penalties, Page Six reported Tuesday.

“Mr. Coe chose to impede and obstruct the due administration of the IRS in an effort to brush aside his duty to file and pay taxes and is now a convicted felon,” an IRS agent told the Post.

I’ve known for eight long years what a deep dark hole he is leading this country down. I’ve known for eight long years that he is either mentally unstable, incredibly ignorant, or an extreme Muslim sympathizer like we’ve never seen in the White House.

I hope other Americans are waking up after the pathetic Presidential address to the nation about the Orlando Islamic terror attack.

It’s time to talk frankly. Obama’s speech was the most insulting, revolting & embarrassing speech EVER by an American president. It made me sick to my stomach.

Former Delaware State Workers Indicted and Arrested For Theft From Aid Program

Attorney General Matt Denn announced today the arrests and indictments of seven former state of Delaware employees for theft of federal money. All seven were employed by the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), and were responsible for issuing Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards, and three previous arrests were also related to the same investigation.

Two of the defendants were indicted and arrested last week, two others were indicted and remain at large, one was indicted and arrested previously and still faces charges, and two have already been convicted and sentenced.

Based on internal audits conducted by DHSS’s Audit and Recovery Management Services, investigators learned of fictitious and unauthorized EBT accounts created by Division of Social Services case workers responsible for case creation and maintenance, with each of the fraudulently created cases issued varying amounts of food benefits in the form of EBT cards. The investigation revealed that the fraudulent EBT cards were delivered to State Service Centers in New Castle and Kent County, and intercepted by the suspects working at those locations. Once intercepted, the cards were personally used or sold at a discount.

These indictments are the result of a months-long joint effort of prosecutors and investigators from the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division, Fraud Division and the Office of Civil Rights and Public Trust, along with the DHSS Audit and Recovery Management Services. The investigation eventually revealed more than $959,000 in total fraudulent benefits issued by several state workers.

“This case is part of an intensified focus our office is trying to bring to fraud being committed against the state’s public benefit programs,” Attorney General Matt Denn said. “These arrests come as the result of an in-depth investigation, supported by many agencies. We appreciate the cooperation from the Office of the Inspector General and the Audit and Recovery Management Services. From the Department of Justice, I specifically want to thank Deputy Attorneys General Matt Frawley, Phillip Casale, Allison Reardon and Dennis Kelleher, along with Special Investigators Robert Irwin, Brittney Ketler, Frank Robinson, and John Ciritella.”

Indicted and arrested last week were:
  • Detrich Simmons-Heath, 54, of Chestertown, Maryland – charged with Theft over $100,000, Forgery First Degree, Falsifying Business Records, and Official Misconduct. Released on $6,000 unsecured bond.
  • Kamilah Laws, 39, of Wilmington – charged with Theft over $50,000, Forgery First Degree, Falsifying Business Records, and Official Misconduct. Released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
Indicted last week and still at large are:
  • Jo Ellen Edwards, 61, of Felton – charged with Theft over $100,000, Forgery First Degree, Falsifying Business Records, and Official Misconduct.
  • Shirlene Davis, 29, of Newark – charged with Theft over $100,000, Forgery First Degree, Falsifying Business Records, and Official Misconduct.
Previously indicted, charges pending:
  • Nicole Stevens, 43, of Dover, was arrested in November 2015 on charges of Theft over $1,500, Official Misconduct, Forgery First Degree, Falsifying Business Records, and four counts of Unlawful Use of a Payment Card for stealing $8,092.
Previously convicted and sentenced:
  • Allison Rivera, 49, of Dover, pled guilty to Theft over $1,500, Unlawful Use of a Payment Card, and Falsifying Business Records, and was sentenced in April 2016 to two years of Level II probation, and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $27,751.58.
  • Angelette Brown, 45, of Camden, pled guilty to Theft over $1,500, Unlawful Use of a Payment Card, and Official Misconduct and was sentenced to April 2016 to two years of Level II probation, ordered to do 240 hours of community service, and forced to repay the $15,957 she took.
In all cases, defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Obama to use Terror Attack to Seize Guns

President Obama is not ruling out issuing more executive actions to curb certain types of gun sales, his top spokesman said Monday, even though he’s not aware of any additional steps the president can take under his current authority.

“The president has taken substantial executive actions using as much executive authority as he can,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said. “I’m not going to rule out additional steps … he’s not going to hesitate to act.”

After the bloody jihadist attack in an Orlando Sunday, Obama’s first comments were not to condemn Islamic terrorism but to put the blame on the availability of guns in America.

The president told the nation Sunday’s attack was a “further reminder of how easy it is for people to get their hands on a weapon that lets them shoot people in a school, or a house of worship, or a movie theater, or in a nightclub, and we have to decide if that’s the kind of country we want to be.”

Orlando shooting suspect’s father hosted a political TV show and even tried to run for the Afghan presidency

The father of Omar Mateen, identified by police as the man behind the carnage at an Orlando nightclub early Sunday morning, is an Afghan man who holds strong political views, including support for the Afghan Taliban.

Seddique Mateen, who has been referred to as Mir Seddique in early news reports, hosted the “Durand Jirga Show” on a channel called Payam-e-Afghan, which broadcasts from California. In it, the elder Mateen speaks in the Dari language on a variety of political subjects. Dozens of videos are posted on a channel under Seddique Mateen's name on YouTube. A phone number and post office box that are displayed on the show were traced back to the Mateen home in Florida. Mateen also owns a nonprofit organization under the name Durand Jirga, which is registered in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

In one video, Mateen expresses gratitude toward the Afghan Taliban, while denouncing the Pakistani government.

Major Muslim Terrorists Makes This Declaration To All Americans: We Are Coming After You, We Will Attack Florida And Slaughter Americans There

ISIS Muslim terrorists released a statement on their plan to attack Florida, and even put out a list with the names of people in Florida that they plan on killing. According to one report:
A pro-Isis group has released a hit list with the names of more than 8,000 people mostly Americans.
More than 600-people live in Florida, and one security expert believes that many of those targeted live in Palm Beach County and on the Treasure Coast.
The “United Cyber Caliphate” that hacked U.S. Central Command, 54,000 Twitter accounts and threatened President Barack Obama is the same pro-Isis group that’s reportedly created a “kill list” with the names, addresses and emails of thousands of civilian Americans.

UPDATE: "There are 50 casualties" in mass shooting at Orlando nightclub

Islamic terrorism tie eyed in Orlando gay bar shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. - A shooting and hostage situation early Sunday morning at a Florida nightclub -- which describes itself as "Orlando's hottest gay bar" -- left multiple people dead, including the gunman, officials say.

Sources have confirmed to CBS News that authorities are investigating whether the suspect, who has been named as Omar Mateen, had ties to Islamic terrorism. Mateen is a U.S. citizen with no apparent criminal history, according to sources.

Orlando Police chief John Mina said "around 20" people are believed dead inside the nightclub, although he and others were hesitant to provide firm numbers as the situation was still being assessed early Sunday morning.

Local hospitals report receiving at least 42 patients from the incident.

A U.S. intelligence source told CBS news senior investigative producer Pat Milton that Islamic terrorism is being investigated as a possible motive in the shooting due to several indicators including the style of the attack, which had similarities to the attacks in Paris in November 2015 and Brussels in March. The gunman put up a protracted gun battle with police and was heavily armed, the source said.

WICOMICO DRUG DEALER CONVICTED OF MULTIPLE FIREARM AND DRUG FELONIES

On June 17, 2016, a Wicomico County Circuit Court judge sentenced Jermaine Alexis Peters, age 34, of Wicomico County, Maryland, to 75 years of active incarceration for various felony gun and drug offenses.

The total sentence imposed was 111 years, with 75 years being active incarceration within the Maryland Department of Corrections with 25 of those years being a mandatory sentence with limited possibility for parole. The Court also ordered $118,762.26 which was seized from Peter’s home be forfeited to the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force.

The events at issue stem from a Search and Seizure warrant which was executed on October 13, 2015, at 1402 Chateau Drive, Salisbury, Maryland. When officers arrived at that address to execute the warrant, Peters was located on the back porch and a female was located in the living room of the home. Officers searched a dresser in the master bedroom of the home where they located two stolen handguns which were loaded with ammunition, numerous gun magazines containing live ammunition and several boxes with additional live ammunition. In the master bedroom closet, officers located a rifle and a shoe box which contained a large amount of U.S. currency. The total amount of U.S. currency recovered from the home and Peter’s person was $118,762.26. Officers also located over one kilogram of heroin in a nightstand located in the master bathroom. The street value of the heroin was estimated to be over $700,000.00.

On May 3, 2016, after a one day trial, a Wicomico County jury convicted Peters of possession of a large amount of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense, two counts of a felon being in possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and numerous other offenses related to the events of October 13, 2015.

Peters has multiple prior convictions including felony drug and firearms convictions. At the time of this offense, Peters was on parole for possession with the intent to distribute a narcotic.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew A. Maciarello commended the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force and the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mr. Maciarello also thanked Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Patrizia J. Coletta who prosecuted Peters.

Major American Magazine Goes to War Against Gun Rights

In the wake of a terrorist attack by a radical Islamist, liberals have decided that law abiding, Christian Republican gun owners are to blame. Leading the charge to completely ignore the whole radical Islam thing and go about stripping your right to bear arms? People Magazine. Yes, really.

The typically apolitical, mainstream, light fare celebrity gossip rag known for its annual "Sexiest Man Alive" competition is putting all its intellectual heft behind getting people who think Jenny McCarthy is an authority on the medical causes of autism to call Congress and take away your rights. Because the best way to affect rational, common sense change in America is by marshalling a bunch of people who think due process is a three step Kardashian endorsed skin care regimen.

Their nonsense list is here. Use it. Call every member you can, and tell them that the proper response to an Islamic terror attack on American soil is NOT to render law abiding Americans defenseless. Demand they stand up for your right to defend yourself, your friends, and your family(we've attached a petition to do the same, if a phone call is too time consuming).

If you're not inclined to support their opportunistic, gun grabbing political stunt, here's another option: contact People Magazine. Follow that link to a list of top media contacts at People. Tell them to stick to shallow celebrity gossip, and leave your rights alone.
