It's Official: China Confirms It Has Begun Liquidating Treasuries, Warns Washington

On Tuesday evening, we asked what would happen if emerging markets joined China in dumping US Treasurys. For months we’ve documented the PBoC’s liquidation of its vast stack of US paper. Back in July for instance, we noted that China had dumped a record $143 billion in US Treasurys in three months via Belgium, leaving Goldman speechless for once.

We followed all of this up this week by noting that thanks to the new FX regime (which, in theory anyway, should have required less intervention), China haslikely sold somewhere on the order of $100 billion in US Treasurys in the past two weeks alone in open FX ops to steady the yuan. Put simply, as part of China's devaluation and subsequent attempts to contain said devaluation, China has been purging an epic amount of Treasurys.

But even as the cat was out of the bag for Zero Hedge readers and even as, to mix colorful escape metaphors, the genie has been out of the bottle since mid-August for China which, thanks to a steadfast refusal to just float the yuan and be done with it, will have to continue selling USTs by the hundreds of billions, the world at large was slow to wake up to what China’s FX interventions actually implied until Wednesday when two things happened: i) Bloomberg, citing fixed income desks in New York, noted "substantial selling pressure" in long-term USTs emanating from somebody in the "Far East", and ii) Bill Gross asked, in a tweet, if China was selling Treasurys.

Call me 'ze,' not 'he': University wants everyone to use 'gender inclusive' pronouns

UPDATE: Rickey Hall, the vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, said their quest for gender neutral pronouns is not an official university policy.

“It’s not policy,” he said. “It’s about inclusive practice.”

Hall told me the gender neutral pronouns were a way of “exposing our students (to an) increasingly diverse and global world.”

He said gender neutral pronoun usage is not new – and that as things change – people always have questions. Nevertheless, he stressed this is not a mandated university policy.

For all you folks who went to school back when there were only him and her – here’s a primer: some of the new gender neutral pronouns are ze, hir, zir, xe, xem and xyr.

“I reiterate, it’s not a mandate, it’s not an official policy, it’s not a policy from the board,” he told me. “It’s about education. We are (a) higher education institution and exposing our students to a lot of different things.”

Suspect arrested, to be charged in killing of Texas county sheriff's deputy

Authorities have charged a 30-year-old man with capital murder, after they say he ambushed a Texas county sheriff’s deputy at a suburban Houston gas station in an attack motivated by "absolute madness."

Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman identified the man in a news conference Saturday afternoon as Shannon J. Miles, who is in police custody.

Miles — who has a criminal history that includes convictions for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct with a firearm — was arrested less than 24 hours after authorities said he ambushed Darren Goforth, a 10-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff's Office, at a suburban Houston Chevron station.

"I am proud of the men and women that have worked swiftly to apprehend the responsible person who posed a significant threat to both law enforcement and the community at large," Hickman told reporters Saturday. "Our deputies return to the streets tonight to hold a delicate peace that was shattered last evening."

Hickman said the motive for the killing had not been determined but investigators would look at whether Miles, who is black, was motivated by anger over recent killings elsewhere of black men by police that have spawned the "Black Lives Matter" protest movement. Goforth was white.

"I think that's something that we have to keep an eye on," Hickman said. "The general climate of that kind of rhetoric can be influential on people to do things like this. We're still searching to find out if that's actually a motive."

Days After WDBJ On-Air Shooter Killed Reporter, Photographer and Himself, One His Closest Friends Received a Package

Days after his close friend, Vester Lee Flanagan, killed a reporter and photographer on live TV, Robert Avent reportedly received a package in the mail.

It was from Flanagan.

Avent told the New York Daily News that he received the package, full of letters, documents, photographs, driver’s licenses, student IDs and other items, on Saturday. Some of the items offer new insight into the killer’s mindset. Avent also claimed he is one of the last people to speak to Flanagan before he fatally shot himself following the the on-air killings.

In rambling letters reportedly reviewed by the Daily News, Flanagan wrote about not being able to “score” after he previously got paid as much as $2,000 in one night to sleep with a man while he was working as a male escort.

Men Sentenced for Conspiracy to Use Weapons of Mass Destruction

Brian Cannon, 37, Terry Peace, 47, and Cory Williamson, 29, have been sentenced for conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction in attacks against federal government agencies. The defendants planned to attack critical infrastructure while motivating militia groups in other states to rise up and join them in removing government officials who they believed had exceeded their Constitutional power.

“In this case, anti-government ideology and rhetoric morphed into dangerous extremism and led these defendants to arm themselves and travel to a meeting to pick up pipe bombs and other explosives intended for attacks,” said U.S. Attorney John Horn of the Northern District of Georgia. “The attacks planned by the defendants, while rare, posed a serious threat to not only the safety of our public servants, but also all other members of the community.”

“This case illustrates the FBI’s commitment in preventing attacks instead of responding to their aftermath,” said Special Agent in Charge J. Britt Johnson for the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office. “The convictions and now federal sentencing of these individuals on conspiracy charges again represents that the juries and courts understand this shift in the law enforcement mindset in dealing with individuals or groups that wish to bring harm to the public or those who serve the public.”

According to U.S. Attorney Horn, the charges and other information presented in court: In January and February 2014, Cannon, Peace and Williamson participated in Internet chat rooms frequented by militia members and others with a shared anti-government ideology. During the chat room conversations, Cannon, Peace and Williamson discussed starting a revolution against the federal government by conducting an attack aimed at the infrastructure supporting the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Administration.

Fisherman Spent 3 Years Building Massive 24-Foot Long Lego USS Missouri

Jim McDonough is truly a master at his craft. He likes Lego, boats and naval history. And when these passions combine, magic is made. McDonough’s epically huge, ridiculously well-detailed Lego navy boats are the stuff of legend.

For the past three years, the Scottish fisherman has been building the 1:40 scale replica of the iconic WWII vessel. The USS Missouri is an Iowa-class battleship that fought in the Pacific Theater, notably at Iwo Jima and Okinawa, and where the Japanese formally surrendered to the United States. She also fought in the Korean War, after which she was decommissioned. Then in the mid-80s was reactivated and provided support during Operation Desert Storm. She’s been decommissioned since 1992 and is now a museum ship that you can visit at Pearl Harbor. I used to teach on base there and visiting the Missouri was always pretty damn remarkable.

At last its just about finished a few pieces and rigging but until i have a better place to display it,it will have to do. nearly 3 years building this one,10,000s of parts,as for size it now stands 4ft 6 inches high.3ft wide and a massive 24ft 3 inches long, not counted the studs LOL.The stern crane is motorized, and the bridge has lights as you have seen in my other updates.it was a struggle to get the turrets to sit with the weight of them but bricks on their side worked well in the end, this is the ww2 version with as many guns as it had at the wars end, big thanks to Raymond Drum who gave me the idea to build this and his vast knowledge has been most helpful as has all your comments and advice in the past,Also Michael K who,s missouri was very hepful to building this one.i could post 100s of photos of this as its my most detailed and biggest by far.hope you all like it,planning the saratoga cv3 in the near future which is around the same size as this, -MOC Pages

Sanders On Execution Of Texas Cop: An ‘Outrage’ But Unarmed Blacks Are Dragged Out Of Cars And Shot ‘Too Often’

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, plagued by Black Lives Matter protesters at times, told CNN’s Jake Tapper Sunday on “State of The Nation” Sunday that while it is an “outrage” that a Texas sheriff’s deputy was fatally shot execution style, it is still “unacceptable in this country when unarmed black people get dragged out of cars or get shot. That is happening too often.”

Deputy Darren H. Goforth was wearing his uniform when he was shot in the back Friday night. Authorities describe the act as an unprovoked killing. A suspect is now in custody.

“Other police officers have been killed. I worked with police officers when I was mayor of the city of Burlington. They have a very, very difficult job. And we need to make sure that we have the best-trained, best-paid police departments in the world,” Sanders told Tapper.

WATCH: The Startling Moment Bystanders Confront Man Hitting Woman In Parking Lot

Cell phone video was captured of an Oklahoma man attacking a woman in a pickup truck before being subdued by some good Samaritans. The alleged assailant faces multiple charges.

Douglas Beckham, 52, was allegedly seen attacking a woman in an Oklahoma City shopping center parking lot with what was later determined to be a flashlight.

Apparently, the fight initially started because Beckham refused to buy the woman food from a drive-thru restaurant. Both he and the woman are homeless and live in two vehicles.

The video shows several cuts and abrasions on the woman’s legs. Several men passing through Oklahoma City on their way to El Paso, Texas, intervened to stop Beckham from causing any further harm.

“Stay out of it guys!” Beckham shouted to the group. “Stay out of it!”

Archbishop: 'True Intention Behind' Push for Same-Sex Marriage is 'Imposition of Totalitarian System'

(CNSNews) - Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron of Agana, Guam has posted a message on his archdiocesean website stating that the "true intention" behind the push for same-sex marriage "has always been about the destruction of the family and the imposition of a totalitarian system."

The archbishop also predicted the next step in the process would be to use the education system so "that our children, your children, will be forced to assimilate to this pattern of non-gender."

“It is important to understand that the political pressure to push the agenda for same sex 'marriage' has never been about gay rights; the true intention behind this agenda has always been about the destruction of the family, and the imposition of a totalitarian system,” Archbishop Apuron said. (Bold in the original.)

“The next step will be to implement this theory in the educational system of Guam,” said the archbishop. “This means that our children, your children, will be forced to assimilate to this pattern of non-gender; that there is no-such-thing as ‘male’ or ‘female’; they will be encouraged to explore their sexuality earlier, and parents will have no voice in the education of their children.”

Guam began legally recognizing gay “marriage” in June 2015. It is the first overseas territory of the United States to do so. Apuron was appointed archbishop of the archdiocese of Agana in 1986.

Here is the archbishop's statement:

Three Eastern Shore Wildlife Management Areas (WMA’s) or portions of WMA’s in Somerset County have been temporarily closed to waterfowl hunting. The closed areas include crop fields managed for mourning doves where a portion of the crop has been mowed or manipulated. State and federal laws allow dove hunting, but not waterfowl hunting, in areas where a crop has been manipulated.

The areas have been posted with signs and will remain closed for September waterfowl hunting and will reopen for the October waterfowl seasons or sooner if possible. All other portions of the WMA’s will remain open for the September Resident Goose Season and the September Teal Season, unless previously restricted for management reasons. A press release will be issued when these areas are reopened for waterfowl hunting.

Study: US Falls Behind Canada, Finland And Hong Kong In Human Freedom

Washington, DC — The United States lags far behind other developed countries in terms of personal, civil and economic freedoms, according to a study released this month. Its neighbor to the north, for example, ranked 14 spots ahead of the so-called “Land of the Free.”

Three international think tanks — the U.S.-based Cato Institute, Canada’s Fraser Institute, and Germany’s Liberales Institut at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom — released theHuman Freedom Index earlier this month. In addition to major civil liberties, the study considers safety and rule of law, relative size of government and capitalist values like the soundness of money, property rights, and access to international trade. The authors used a total of 70 data sources ranging from 2008 to 2012, the most recent year for which all necessary data is currently available.

According to the report, “The top 10 jurisdictions in order were Hong Kong, Switzerland, Finland, Denmark, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.” The U.S. ranks 20th, while Myanmar, Congo and Iran round out the bottom of the list of 152 countries.

U.S. Extends “Temporary” Amnesty for Haitian Illegals

In yet another depiction of the nation’s flawed immigration policies, the Obama administration is extending a humanitarian measure designed to temporarily shield illegal immigrants from deportation during emergencies for the fifth time in five years. It’s officially known as Temporary Protected Status (TPS) but should be renamed permanent—or at least long-term—protected status.

It involves tens of thousands of Haitians, who were originally granted TPS after an earthquake devastated the poverty-stricken Caribbean island in 2010. Then Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said the benefit would last only 18 months and be limited to Haitian nationals who were in the United States as of January 12, 2010. The goal, according to Napolitano was to provide a “temporary refuge for Haitian nationals who are currently in the United States and whose personal safety would be endangered by returning to Haiti is part of this Administration’s continuing efforts to support Haiti’s recovery.”

More than five years later the Obama administration continues to allow the same group of foreigners, who would otherwise be deported, remain in the U.S. under the never-ending “temporary” measure. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson made it official this week, extending TPS for Haitians an additional 18 months, through July 22, 2017. This will grant Haitians authorization to work in the U.S. and receive other taxpayer-funded benefits. “Haiti was initially designated for TPS on Jan. 21, 2010, after a major earthquake devastated the country,” the government announcement reads. “Following consultations with other federal agencies, the Department of Homeland Security has determined that current conditions in Haiti support extending the designation period for current TPS beneficiaries.”

Last year Johnson extended an existing TPS for Haitian nationals with no explanation or earthquake sob story mentioned in the official announcement. Previous to that, Napolitano renewed the measure every year after originally implementing it following the earthquake. This is referred to as a “re-designation” in the various DHS announcements. It allows at least 60,000 Haitians who should be deported to live and work in the U.S. Their children, of course, get a free education and other public benefits compliments of American taxpayers.

Rush Says Hillary Nomination Assured

Talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh on Friday said be believes Hillary Clinton will, indeed, be the Democrat nominee for president, despite her email scandal and other setbacks that have bolstered the campaign of socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders and pressed nervous Democrats to consider alternatives such as Vice President Joe Biden.

“Folks, we’re talking about a crime family here. We’re talking about people who’ve accepted donations from thugs and nations all over the world and expect her to be president,” Limbaugh told his listeners.

Limbaugh noted that at the Democratic National Committee meeting in Minneapolis Clinton is “telling everybody – Biden and whoever else – to shut up.”

“She’s already got the votes; she’s got more than she needs,” he said.

Bloomberg reported Clinton staffers were claiming that she has already secured one-fifth of the pledges needed to win the nomination.

Clinton currently has about 130 superdelegates publicly backing her, according to her campaign. But Bloomberg said a person familiar with recent conversations in Minneapolis said private commitments increase that number to more than 440, which is about 20 percent of the number of delegates needed.

“Everybody is sending me emails about Hillary Clinton,” Limbaugh said. “Do any of you really, really think she’s not going to be the nominee? Come on, let’s get serious! There isn’t anybody else that’s gonna be the Democrat nominee. All of this doesn’t mean anything. … For crying out loud, you see what happened with Ed Rendell, Fast Eddie?”

Limbaugh said Rendell had expressed alarm about the email scandal.

“The next morning he found a horse head in his bed or something ’cause he’s on the Hillary team,” Limbaugh said.

Three American Heroes in Paris Motivated By Their Christian Faith

In addition to their military training, what motivated the Americans on a Paris-bound train to leap up and overwhelm an armed terrorist last week?

According to stories in The Sacramento Bee and The Gospel Herald (compiled here), these young men are grounded in the Christian faith.

“They’re all Christians, they’re all very religious.” Peter Skarlatos, the brother of Alek Skarlato told the Sacramento Bee.

Sadler is the son of a Baptist pastor in Sacramento, California. All three young men were childhood friends who attended California’s Freedom Christian School together and regularly played military games in their youth, according to the Gospel Herald.

Airman Stone was stabbed “multiple times” in the back and severed a tendon and nerve on his hand, according to the AP. El Khazzani drew his pistol and put it to Airman Stone’s head and pulled the trigger twice.

“But it clicked twice and didn’t go off,” Airman Stone’s mother, Joyce Eskel, said later, according to news reports.

Nick Mosby 'seriously considering' run for mayor in Baltimore

At a "Back to School" Rally in West Baltimore Sunday, Councilman Nick J. Mosby is working the crowd. He's giving out 500 fully stuffed backpacks and talking about citywide issues that need solutions — such as how to deal with dirt bikes and crime — as the New Baltimore Twilighters Marching Band thumps out the hits.

There's one question on people's minds: Will Mosby, a first-term councilman representing some of Baltimore's poorest neighborhoods, enter the race for mayor?

"I told him to run," said Hiawatha Howard, 61, who grew up in nearby Coppin Heights. "I hope he's our next mayor."

Why Are Republicans Letting CNN Pick Our President?

Why are Republicans letting CNN pick our presidential nominee? Fox I might understand, but CNN?

Confused? Not a surprise. Most in the GOP don’t realize what is happening — except those in the highest level of the establishment in Washington, D.C. Us folks out in the cornfields, well, we’re just going about our regular lives blissfully unaware how the game, I mean nomination process, is being taken away from us.

It used to be that Iowa played a prominent role in selecting the next president. But a lot of folks have been working hard over the years to take that away from us. Too Midwestern, too conservative, too white, too — pick whatever adjective describes an Iowan, like maybe hard-working or thoughtful. Several states have tried to leapfrog us and our friends in New Hampshire, yet we have staved off those attacks. Now the “we can’t let Iowa decide” crowd has a new method. If they can’t leapfrog us, they will decide which candidates we may choose from.

Case in point: The move by the Republican National Committee and the major television networks to decide on their own which candidates we will be able to watch debate in prime time. By ignoring candidates’ standings in Iowa and New Hampshire, they are moving us toward a national primary, thereby negating our role in the nominating process.

Let’s use the upcoming debate put on by the RNC and CNN as an example. CNN is choosing which 10 candidates to put on the debate stage. But they are not considering who are the top 10 polling candidates in Iowa or New Hampshire. Instead they have a strange methodology of using nine national polls that occurred before the Fox debate, and only two national polls that have taken place since the Fox debate. It is not as if only two polls have been taken since the debate in Ohio — there have been multiple and there are weeks to go. But CNN decides which polls to use and they are going to use two.

Imagine if a football, baseball or basketball team won their playoff game, but doesn’t get to advance to the next round because of their preseason performance. That is the CNN methodology.

Newt: Focus On American People, Not Trump

The Washington establishment, much of the consulting community, and the news media have been mesmerized by the rise of Donald Trump.

He is by a large, almost unimaginable margin, the front runner for the Republican nomination.

In the newest national survey by Quinnipiac, among Republican voters, Mr. Trump is at 28 percent with Dr. Carson, again in second place with 12 percent of the vote.

As Mr. Trump began to emerge over the last few months, the first establishment reaction was to shrug him off as a temporary summer phenomenon who would quickly self-destruct.

As it becomes clearer that, far from self-destructing, Mr. Trump seems to be gaining strength, the Republican elites and their commentator, blogger and TV analyst allies have become more strident. Some verge on hysteria in the harshness of their condemnation of Mr. Trump.

Meanwhile, the established, experienced “professional” candidates find themselves scrambling and at times fumbling trying to keep up with the new tone, energy, aggressiveness and bluntness of the Trump campaign.

Yet a “Trump-centric” analysis misses the really big political story of 2015.

The really big, historic phenomenon of this election cycle is the anger, distrust and lack of respect millions of Americans feel for those the establishment and the elites tell them they should be listening to.

Favoring Some Claims of Conscience Over Others

'Sexual freedom' is afforded more protection than religious liberty

We face a crisis of conscience today — a crisis forced upon us by elites in Washington who would pick and choose who is allowed to follow their deeply held beliefs and who is to be punished by the government for doing so.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services recently indicated it is issuing policy guidance expanding the conscientious objector provision exempting new citizenship applicants from affirming, during their naturalization oath, that they will (if required by law) bear arms on behalf of the United States and perform noncombatant service in the U.S. armed forces . While this provision has existed for some time, the new guidance will loosen evidentiary rules and broaden the contours of conscience exemptions: A “deeply held moral or ethical code” can suffice, and the applicant is “not required to belong to a specific church or religion [or] follow a particular theology or belief.”

While some may disagree over whether these changes are legally justified, it is nice to see the Obama administration recognizing protections for the individual’s conscience and religious convictions. After all, that is what is being done here by bolstering the conscientious objector provision.

Why then, does the federal government refuse to acknowledge such requests for exemptions in other contexts, such as regarding contraception and abortion, and same-sex marriage? The conscientious objectors are often similarly motivated by religion, and just as sincere.

Gang violence made July bloodiest month in jails

Shanks a lot, Rikers.

A surge in gang violence in the city jails turned July into the bloodiest month behind bars in at least 15 years.

Records obtained by the Daily News show there were 21 slashings and one stabbing in July. At least 16 of the incidents — leaving combatants with sliced faces, shanked backs and bloody ears — involved members of the Bloods, Crips or Latin Kings.

The violence erupted inside jail cells, showers and cafeterias. In one clash, eight gangbangers slashed an inmate about 11:30 a.m. on July 1 during a religious service in the main gym at the George R. Vierno Center, the internal records show.

“It’s pure savagery,” said Ed Gavin, a retired deputy warden.

BREAKING: 27-Year-Old Video Of TRUMP Surfaces, THIS Will Make Liberals Furious

One of the main accusations Trump has faced since announcing his candidacy is that he makes wild, outlandish comments just to shake things up and rile up Republicans.
However, a newly surfaced interview from 27 years ago shows that Trump has been making these comments for decades.
According to Conservative Tribune, the video shows a 1988 interview with Oprah in which Trump does not hold back.
“I’d make our allies pay their fair share. We’re a debtor nation,” Trump said when he was asked what he’d do as president. “Something’s going to happen over the next number of years with this country. You can’t keep going on losing $200 billion.”
When Oprah asked Trump if he would ever run for president, he said that he probably wouldn’t, but he added that if he did run, he would have a “helluva chance” of winning.
“I don’t know about your audience, but I think people are tired of seeing the United States ripped off,” he said.

Reporters Had Footage Of On-Air Killer’s Car Crash…Here’s The Chilling Thing The Police Wanted Them To Do With It

The officer did not want the journalist's footage to see the light of day.

What police told BBC video journalist Franz Strasser to do Wednesday, as he sought to cover the apprehension of alleged murderer Vester Flanagan, was completely unprecedented in his multi-year career.

Following the on-air murder of WDBJ reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward in the Roanoke area, Flanagan reportedly fled the scene, eventually ending up in northern Virginia on I-66 heading east. That is where police caught up with the suspect. After resisting calls to stop his vehicle, Flanagan veered off the road, stopped his car and shot himself.

Former DNC Chair Admits Clinton Has Handled Email Scandal ‘Atrociously’

Edward Rendell, former Pennsylvania governor and a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton, admitted recently that the former secretary of state’s presidential campaign has handled the controversy surrounding her private email system “atrociously.”

“They’ve handled the email issue poorly—maybe atrociously, certainly horribly,” Rendell, who also chaired the Democratic National Committee during the 2000 election, told the New York Times in an interview.

“The campaign has been incredibly tone-deaf, not seeing this as a more serious issue,” he continued. “She should have turned over the email server at the start, because they should have known they’d be forced to give it up. But at this point, there’s nothing they can do to kill the issue—they’re left just playing defense.”

Rendell has consistently been supportive of Clinton, donating $2,700 to her presidential campaign in May, according to data from the Federal Election Commission. Rendell has even defended Clinton for her use of private email on television.

Nevertheless, Rendell is one of multiple Democratic leaders who have grown frustrated with the email scandal and Clinton’s attempt to laugh off questions regarding her allegedly wiped-clean server.

“Instead of flippant and smart-aleck comments, it would just be better to come clean in a straightforward way,” North Carolina Democratic national committeewoman Pat Cotham told the Times in a separate interview. “People don’t expect you to be perfect, but they just want to know what the deal is.”

Election Group: 141 U.S. Counties Have More Registered Voters Than People

A public interest law firm is threatening to bring lawsuits against more than 100 counties across the United States that appear to have more registered voters than living residents.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), a law firm dedicated to election integrity based in Indiana, recently sent statutory notice letters to election officials in 141 counties putting them on notice of their discoveries. The group says if action is not taken to correct the questionable voter rolls, they will bring lawsuits against every single county on the list.

“Corrupted voter rolls provide the perfect environment for voter fraud,” said J. Christian Adams, president and general counsel of PILF. “Close elections tainted by voter fraud turned control of the United States Senate in 2009. Too much is at stake in 2016 to allow that to happen again.”

The statutory notice letters argue the counties are violating the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and urge them to correct the issue, claiming their voter rolls contain a substantially high amount of ineligible voters. The group used federally produced data to come to their conclusions.

“Voter rolls across America have been discovered that contain substantial numbers of ineligible voters, resulting in the possible disenfranchisement of legally eligible voters via ballot dilution that threatens to subvert the nation’s electoral process,” a sample letter sent to the counties reads.

Clinton Touts Selling ‘Green’ Biofuels to Military

One green fuel company has donated over $100,000 to Clinton Foundation

Hillary Clinton touted selling advanced biofuels to the Department of Defense as a way to boost the economy during a speech at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, on Wednesday.

In her remarks, the Democratic presidential candidate called the department “a huge potential customer” for biofuels.

“Just think of what it would mean for rural America and Iowa in particular, if we could build demand, number one, and then build the processing in order to provide advanced biofuels for aviation, both civil and military,” Clinton said. “That would be a game changer and it would be an incredible economic boost for rural America,” she said.

A recent report from the Government Accountability Office found that the Defense Department paid an average of $29 per gallon for “alternative fuel,” which cost taxpayers a total of $58.6 million.

These fuels are nearly nine times the cost of petroleum fuel options.

Another report, from the Congressional Research Service, detailed how the Defense Department purchased alternative fuel made of algae for $149 per gallon from Solazyme, a San Francisco-based company that has donated between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

Obama's EPA Won't Obey Court Order Protecting Property Owners Against Land Grab Regulation

The very same crew which recently dumped three million gallons of toxic sludge out of an abandoned mine and turned the Animas River in Colorado the color of a yellow banded poison dart frog for roughly a week has just issued a whole new set of rules to “protect” small pools of water. They would also like you to know that these rules are going into effect even though a federal judge put them on hold in 13 states, too. This new batch of regulations is going to “protect” bodies of water which may include the ditch in front of your driveway or that persistent soggy patch in your back yard. (Fox News)

The Environmental Protection Agency says it is going forward with a new federal rule to protect small streams, tributaries and wetlands, despite a court ruling that blocked the measure in 13 central and Western states.

The EPA says the rule, which took effect Friday in more than three dozen states, will safeguard drinking water for millions of Americans.

Opponents pledged to continue to fight the rule, emboldened by a federal court decision Thursday that blocked it from Alaska to Arkansas

Police Tell Reporter Filming Virginia Shooter Crash ‘Delete Footage or Lose Camera’

On Wednesday, in the aftermath of the Bryce Williams on air shooting, two BBC journalists were threatened by Virginia police for filming thescene where gunman crashed and shot himself.

Those journalists say that the police threatened to confiscate their camera, and gave them the ultimatum: “delete the footage or lose the camera.”

The two reporters, Tara McKelvey and videojournalist Fraz Strasser were nearly the first to arrive at the scene on highway I-66, where the shooter crashed his vehicle.

That was where Bryce Williams, also known as Vester Flanagan, shot himself hours he had killed journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward on the air, during a live news broadcast.

Strasser took to Twitter to comment that he and McKelvey were told by police that the footage “could be evidence,” so they had to delete it.

State Police Helicopter Performs Hoist Rescue Of Injured Woman In Cecil Co.

(Earleville, MD) Early yesterday morning, the crew of a Maryland State Police helicopter used their expertise and the capabilities of their new medevac helicopter to perform a hoist rescue of a woman who had fallen more than 60 feet down a rock face in a remote location in Cecil County.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. today, Cecil County Communications received a call for a female who fell from a rock face and landed along the shoreline near Earleville. Maryland State Police helicopter, Trooper 1, based at Martin State Airport, was dispatched and was the first unit at the scene. The crew used their night vision goggles, a technology available on the new AgustaWestland AW-139 helicopters, and was able to locate the victim at the base of a cliff. Due to the remote location, difficult terrain and environmental factors, first responders from Cecil County and the Trooper 1 crew agreed an aerial hoist was the best option for patient extraction and less hazardous to first responders.

Trooper 1 hoisted the victim into the aircraft and immediately transitioned to a medical evacuation role. While providing care in the air, the crew flew the victim to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The rescue was an overwhelming success due to the seamless coordination of first responders in Cecil County and an experienced Maryland State Police flight crew.

The Maryland State Police Aviation Command has served Maryland citizens since 1970, and operates a fleet of ten helicopters from seven bases throughout Maryland on a 24/7/365 basis. Missions include medevac, law enforcement, search & rescue, homeland security, and disaster assessment. The success of rescues performed by the Aviation Command depends a great deal on the cooperative effort of local fire, rescue, EMS, and law enforcement agencies.

Troopers Investigate Shooting Near Ocean View

Ocean View, DE – Troopers are investigating a shooting that occurred in a family residence near Ocean View injuring a two year old child.

The incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. this morning, Sunday August 30, 2015 when troopers and EMS were dispatched to a residence located in the 37000 block of Muddy Neck Road, after a 9-1-1 call was received stating a child had been shot. Upon the arrival of troopers and local municipal police departments from Ocean View, Bethany Beach, and South Bethany Beach, it was determined that the father of the female child had allegedly shot his two year old daughter in the left leg while he was showing his wife a gun he had just received. Troopers immediately took Joseph M. Jenkins Jr., 38, into custody without incident.

Further investigation revealed that a burglary report had been taken around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening from Jenkins and his wife when his shotgun and some cash had been stolen from their house. After troopers departed his home, Jenkins left and went to a friend's house where he obtained a .40 caliber handgun. Jenkins returned to his residence around 1:00 a.m. and upon entering, his wife woke up from sleeping on the floor in the living room. The couple's three children, two girls ages two and six, and a son age 10, were all asleep on a sofa nearby when Jenkins sat on the floor next to his wife to show her the gun. As Jenkins pulled back on the slide of the gun and let it go, a bullet fired and struck the two year old in the leg.

The mother immediately contacted 9-1-1 and EMS and Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper 2) arrived to transport the young girl to A.I. DuPont Hospital where she is currently being treated for the wound.

Joseph Jenkins was transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was charged with Assault 1st, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned at JP3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $41,500.00 secured bond.

This Is Why No One Wants To Run For Mayor Of Salisbury

Because Salisbury is a joke. It is a run down City perfectly conditioned for people like Jim Ireton and Jake Day. Always in turmoil, dilapidation, always loaded with crime and drugs and by golly these guys are going to be heroes and they are going to save your precious city.

BUT WAIT, how is what they will promise you going to work? Well, it won't. Why, because every building you look at is owned by one of the Good Ol' Boys. Guys like me, well, we just sell out and get the hell out of Salisbury because people like me aren't in the Good Ol' Boy system and we get fines for little strips of grass growing in our curbs IN THE STREET in front of our buildings while the former Mayor and her husband get no fines for broken windows and entrance doors to their building.

Heck, the former Mayor Tilghman and her husband couldn't care less what you think, (last two pictures) while they are obviously too cheap to replace simple and extremely inexpensive glass. If a window broke in my old building it was replaced that day or the very next day. There was never a need to call code and compliance.

I told all of you years ago, "It's Your Election To Lose". A simple and quick walk around just a small part of Downtown shows that neither Jim Ireton or Jake Day actually give a crap about a better Salisbury. Looks to me like they're more interested in controlling Salisbury instead.

OCPD installs second license plate scanner

The Ocean City Police Department on Thursday installed the resort’s second license plate scanner, which tracks all cars entering Ocean City, with this one going in near the Route 90 bridge.

Now, every license plate entering Ocean City via Routes 50 and 90 will be scanned, that information will be checked against a database for potential violations and if one is found, a picture of the vehicle will be taken, OCPD Public Information Officer Lindsay Richard said.

Where that database is and how long that information will remain on it is unclear.

“It goes to a state agency,” Richard said. “We don’t store it. The dispatch center will get an alert, and that way we have an approximate location and a description of the vehicle.”

Maryland First State in US to Issue Guidelines on Police Profiling

Police will be banned from using race, religion, or sexual orientation as factors in making routine stops

Maryland has become the first state to adopt rules against police profiling. Police will be banned from using race, religion, or sexual orientation as factors in making routine stops, and can’t stop everyone in a neighborhood when a crime is reported.

“Police do a dangerous, difficult job, and they do it well. But experience shows that improper profiling by police does terrible damage,” said Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh while unveiling the new guidelines in a nine-page memorandum on Tuesday.

Under the rules, officers are banned from using race or ethnicity in making decisions during routine operations, investigations, and traffic stops. The guidelines also include a ban on profiling based on national origin, identity, disability, or religion.

FATHER OF SLAIN VIRGINIA REPORTER VOWS TO ‘SHAME LEGISLATORS’ INTO PASSING MORE GUN CONTROL

Following Allison Parker’s August 26 shooting death at the hands of former station employee Vester Lee Flanagan, her father, Andy Parker, vowed to “shame politicians” into supporting more gun control.

According to Mail Online, Andy said, “I am going to do something, whatever it takes, to shame legislators about closing loopholes in background checks to make sure crazy people don’t get guns.”

But here’s problem—there are no “loopholes” in the background check system and, although Flanagan was admittedly angry and churning inside, there were no legal grounds on which to deny him a gun purchase. No one has come forward to show that he had a criminal record or an order to undergo a psychiatric evaluation or involuntary mental health treatment, so no criteria exists to deny him a gun purchase.

WDBJ Virginia Shooting: Freemason-Illuminati Media HOAX!

Major Board Of Education Issues Just Before School Starts

My name is Joel. We had a house built in a brand new neighborhood (SandyWood Estates, just off of the west side of Forest Grove Rd in Parsonsburg, MD) . Part of the reason my wife and I had the house built where we did is because not only did the realtors tell us that the neighborhood was in the Willards/Pittsville school district but the WBOE also confirmed that it was. In speaking with many of our neighbors who will soon have school age children as well as a soon to be neighbor who is currently having a house built and does have school age children, they too either in part bought or built homes in this neighborhood because of the school district. We got a letter in the mail earlier this summer from Willards Elementary informing us that our 7 year old is now enrolled into their school based on where we live. They sent us a list of the bus routes and info on how to contact the bus company who comes closest to our home (Hollaway). We then contacted Hollaway Transportation about having our child picked up for school and they informed us that they would not reroute their bus a half mile in order to pick up our child because there is a Beaver Run Bus that passes by our neighborhood. We then contacted the head of transportation at the WBOE, and he was absolutely no help. He basically told us that transportation can do that if they want. We've since left a message with his boss and have not heard back. Last night my daughter and wife went to Willards Elementary for their open house and met her home room teacher. Here it is Thursday, 08/27/15, and the first day of school is Monday, 08/31/15, and my daughter still does not have a bus that will transport her to the school that she is rightfully enrolled in based on the school district we live in. Because we seem to be getting no where with the WBOE nor Hollaway Transportation, we don't know where to turn for help with this issue.

ANOTHER VIEWER WRITES:

So we were contacted by Beaver Run earlier this summer and they informed us that we are actually in the Willards/Pittsville school district. This is what we've wanted all along, it's part of the reason we built the house where we did. We received a letter from Willards accepting our daughter into the school. She is currently enrolled, has a home room teacher and a schedule. So she not currently enrolled in Beaver Run. Now transportation is trying to say that they won't reroute a bus, less than half a mile to pick her up since a Beaver Run bus already goes by our house. How can transportation dictate this when transportation is contracted to get kids to their proper schools? We've contacted the head of transportation at WBOE, he was absolutely no help. We've also left a message with his boss and have yet to hear anything back. We've spoken with our neighbors about this issue and they agree, part of the reason the built/or bought in this neighborhood is because of the Willards/Pittsville school district. They want their children to go to those schools as well. It's only 4 days until the first day of school and we plan on fighting this issue to the very end, as do our neighbors.

Chuck-E-Cheese in Kentucky Refuses to Serve a Police Officer With Firearm

As if no-gun policies weren’t already stupid enough, a Chuck-E-Cheese in Kentucky has just taken the cake when it comes to idiotic policies. Because they have a “no guns” policy, staff thought it made perfect sense to refuse service to a police officer carrying his weapon. Brilliant.

A Kentucky Chuck E. Cheese appears to have taken the kid-friendly chain’s “no guns” policy too far, refusing to serve a police officer who entered the restaurant with a firearm.

The gun-toting officer encountered the problem at the Chuck E. Cheese in the Greenwood Mall in the city of Bowling Green, prompting outrage from some people, including a sheriff from a neighboring jurisdiction, WBKO-TV reported Friday.

“I was upset,” Edmonson County Sheriff Shane Doyle told the station. “I was shocked for that officer and also for all the patrons there because you know if you have an obvious police officer and they’re wearing police clothing, then I don’t understand what the problem would be having someone like that with the training and experience of a police officer [coming] into an establishment.”

Chuck E. Cheese’s national headquarters called the situation an unfortunate misunderstanding.

PETA Wants Pennsylvania to Erect a Grave Marker Where Pigs Died in Highway Crash

On August 17, a tractor-trailer hauling pigs overturned on Route 30 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, killing several pigs. Now animal rights group PETA is demanding that state officials erect a grave marker to memorialize the lives of the pigs at the site of the crash.

The truck was reportedly carrying some 80 pigs to market but several were euthanized because of the accident.

Animal rights group People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is demanding that the state of Pennsylvania “erect a 5-foot tombstone” on the side of the highway next to the site where the accident occurred.

The PETA press release said that Pennsylvania has a responsibility to push the PETA ideology. The group said the state must memorialize the “terrified animals” that died in the crash in order to “give motorists food for thought by calling on caring people to spare pigs the terrifying journey to slaughter by going vegan.”

“This memorial is intended to remind tractor-trailer drivers of their responsibility to the thousands of animals they carry to their deaths every year,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA hopes to encourage motorists to help make roads safer for everyone by choosing healthy vegan foods and eliminating this dangerous and frightening trip entirely.”

Here’s a question: when will PETA bother itself with memorials to humans killed in highway crashes? But then, PETA believes that animals are more valuable than people, don’t they?

Killer of Virginia News Crew Said He Killed White People to Try and Start Race War

It has now been revealed that the murderer of two Virginia TV reporters said he killed white people as part of a race war and in response to the killings of black people in a Charleston church last month.

The killer, Vester Lee Flanagan, faxed a rambling 23-page letter to ABC in New York explaining his actions. In his letter he admitted that he wanted a race war and that he was killing for racial reasons.

“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15…”

“What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

It is unclear whose initials he is referring to. He continues, “As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …(deleted)!!!” He said Jehovah spoke to him, telling him to act.

Later in the manifesto, the writer quotes the Virginia Tech mass killer, Seung Hui Cho, calls him “his boy,” and expresses admiration for the Columbine High School killers. “Also, I was influenced by Seung–Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylann Klebold got…just sayin.'”

This was a hate crime, folks.

Limbaugh: Media conflicted since TV shooter is black

Radio host Rush Limbaugh said the national news media will be conflicted in their reporting on Wednesday’s slaughter of a Virginia news crew live on the air because the shooter was reportedly a black man, and his victims were white.

The shooter has been identified as Vester Flanagan, 41, who also went by the professional name of Bryce Williams. The victims are reporter Alison Parker, 24, and photographer Adam Ward, 27, who were gunned down during a live broadcast from the Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia.

“A reporter of color is the shooter. Now there’s a conflict. Now what do they (the media) do?” asked Limbaugh on his national broadcast Wednesday. “If you take out the color [of the individuals involved] … you might not even hear about it.”

7TH CIRCUIT COURT: ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS HAVE SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS TOO

In a case regarding a specific gun control law which bans “unauthorized aliens” (illegal immigrants) from possessing firearms in the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit did the work of a contortionist by upholding the law while also pointing out that they “see no principled way to carve out the Second Amendment and say that the unauthorized (or maybe all noncitizens) are excluded.”

In a word—illegal immigrants have Second Amendment rights too.

The case was titled United States v. Meza-Rodriguez, and the decision was handed down on August 20.

The Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel reports that the decision was written by Judge Diane Wood “for a panel that included Judges Frank Easterbrook and Joel Flaum.”

Duke Freshmen Boycott Summer Reading Due To ‘Christian Moral Beliefs’

Some incoming Christian freshmen at Duke University are boycotting a summer reading book, because they say its “graphic” illustrations depicting sex and nudity conflict with their religious beliefs.

Freshman Brian Grasso posted in the Class of 2019 Facebook page July 26 that he would not read Alison Bechdel’s “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic,” because of its “graphic visual depictions of sexuality,” the school’s student daily Duke Chronicle reported.

“I feel as if I would have to compromise my personal Christian moral beliefs to read it,” Mr. Grasso wrote in the post, which ignited a debate among students.

Several freshmen agreed with Mr. Grasso about the graphic novel, which chronicles Ms. Bechdel’s relationship with her father and her issues with sexual identity.

Freshman Bianca D’Souza said that while the novel discussed important topics, she did not find the sexual interactions appropriate and could not bring herself to view the images depicting nudity, The Chronicle reported.

Mr. Grasso said that many students privately messaged him to thank him for standing up for Christian values, The Chronicle reported.
