Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On October 25, 2008 at approximately 1:40 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to a residence on the six hundred (600) block of Baker Street for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, the officers met with three (3) victims who advised the officers that they had been robbed at gunpoint. The victims advised that one (1) of the victims had been approached while outside of the residence by two (2) suspects, one (1) in possession of a shotgun and the other in possession of a handgun. The first victim was robbed then forced into the residence where the other two (2) victims were robbed. During the robbery an amount of U.S. currency was taken. Following the robbery, both suspects fled from the area on foot. There were no injuries, and the robbery is still under investigation. The suspects are described as:

1. Black male, 5’11”, 180 lbs., dark complexion, wearing a white baseball hat, black pants, black sweatshirt, in possession of a shotgun.

2. Black male, 5’04”, 150 lbs., light complexion, light beard, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, in possession of a handgun. CC # 200800039712

On October 25, 2008 at approximately 10:04 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the area of Baker and Charles Street for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, the officers met with a single victim who advised that while operating his bicycle, he was approached by a lone suspect who attempted to rob him. The victim advised that he was approached by a suspect who produced a handgun, then demanded money. The victim dropped his bicycle then fled from the area on foot. The victim advised that as he fled from the area, the suspect fired shots from the handgun in his direction. There were no injuries, and no property was taken from the victim. This attempted robbery is under investigation. The suspect was described as:

1. Black male, 6’04”, 230 lbs. wearing a white shirt and dark pants, in possession of a handgun CC # 200800039797

On October 26, 2008 at approximately 11:01 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to an apartment on Seagull Lane for the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, the officers met with two (2) victims who advised the officers that they had been threatened and robbed. The victims advised that as they parked in the parking lot of the apartment complex, the victims observed two (2) unknown subjects in a vehicle in close proximity. As the victims exited their vehicle, they were approached by the two (2) suspects who threatened the victims with an aluminum baseball bat. The suspects took an amount of U.S. currency and a cellular telephone during the course of the robbery. The suspects fled from the area in a vehicle which was described as an older, black Nissan Sentra. There were no injuries. The suspects as described as:

1. Black male, 5’10”, thin, light complexion, wearing a dark sweatshirt and sweatpants and a blue bandanna on his face

2. Black male, 5’04”, thin, dark complexion, dark eyes, short hair wearing a dark sweatshirt and sweatpants. This suspect was in possession of a blue and silver baseball bat. CC # 200800039901

On October 24, 2008 at approximately 11:55 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant charging the suspect with prescription fraud. An investigation revealed that the suspect produced a fraudulent prescription at a local pharmacy and received prescription medication.

ARRESTED: Walter Clifford Seitz, 31 years of age Milford, Delaware

CHARGES:
Obtaining CDS by fraud
Theft (under $ 100)
Obtaining CDS by forged prescription
Obtaining CDS by false identification

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800009586

On October 25, 2008 at approximately 4:14 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Thrift Travel Inn for the report of a trespasser. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by management that the below listed suspect was trespassing on their property. As the officers attempted contact with the suspect, the suspect fled from the area on foot. The suspect was caught then fought with the officers. After the pursuit, the suspect attempted to discard a smoking device containing suspected crack/cocaine. The suspect was also found to be wanted on a Department of Corrections parole retake warrant.

ARRESTED: Bryan Keith Taylor, 42 years of age Mardela Springs, Maryland

Possession of cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
Obstructing and Hindering an investigation
Disorderly conduct
Resisting arrest
Dept. of Corrections – Parole Retake

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800039721

On October 25, 2008 at approximately 1:00 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Super Fresh Supermarket for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the officers were advised by store employees that the below listed suspect had been observed taking food from the store without any attempts at payment. The suspect was then caught by employees as he fled from the store on foot. The food was recovered by the store.

ARRESTED: Donald Lee Ennis, Jr., 24 years of age Fruitland, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800039751

On October 25, 2008 at approximately 6:45 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the area of Margaret Street for the report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the officers met with a victim who advised the officers that the victim’s vehicle had been struck by a vehicle operated by the below listed suspect. The suspect then left the area of the accident without making contact with the victim. The victim followed the suspect and contacted the Police Department. The officers made contact with the suspect, who was suspected to be driving while intoxicated. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.

ARRESTED: Santana Solomon Gonzalez, 48 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Driving under the influence
Driving while impaired
Failure to stop at an accident
Numerous other motor vehicle charges.

hmmm no gangs, no drugs, no crime and now I guess there are no guns in the city either.

It would seem that Officer Porta didn't respond , because there were charges made.
