For the record. Councilman Comegys was part of the committee to spec and build
the ladder truck at Station 2 that is not up to the SFD standards. It has been
broken down and a constant problem.
Comegys helped design this truck in 2000 and did so to put the volunteers out
of business at Station 16. Thats the brotherhood he speaks of. Well the truck
is 8 years old and clearly shows the man knows nothing about fire trucks. Now
the taxpayers are going to let him get them four trucks. Didn't you learn your
lesson.

The Volunteers at Station 1 did not want a ladder truck. We wanted to keep
tanker 1-1. Gordy threatened to take our charter and worse if we didn;t give
him the money to buy the trucks.

If Gordy and See act in this manner, isn't there some kind of "legal" action that can\would result...We all are thankful for all the firefighters and what they do...just need to get rid of the ones with the "god" complex, that goes for all the police too. Most officers do a great job, but get a bad name because of a few "bad apples". Get rid of the "bad apples" and most of your problems instantly fixed.

They have a plan to milk the two volunteer companies dry of all their money. The money is what they want. They couldn't care less about the people in the Volunteer Companies.

THEY DID THE SAME WITH A RESCUE TRUCK. BUBBA WAS INVOLVED IB THE STA.2 TAKEOVER PLOT TOO. HE BAILED ON THEM AND HOOKED UP WITH GORDY TO RUN FOR COUNCIL. HE KNEW HE DIDNT HAVE A CHANCE IF HE STAYED WITH THE STA.2 WAR. HE IS A TRUE POLITICIAN. CUNNING,CALCULATING AND SNEAKY. IT MAKES ME SICK TO WATCH THIS CRAP IN THE FIRE DEPT. TIME AFTER TIME THEY LET GORDO AND BUBBA PULL THIS SHIT AND GET AWAY WITH IT. ITS TIME TO PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN AND HAMMER THEM.
All the volunteer groups have been threatened and robbed. The volunteers have no say in their funds. Gordy just dreams up ways to spend it and they have to bankroll it. Gordy is slick. He quickly grabbed control of our money and that gave us no leverage in any decisions. We want to help the city fund certain things to help us do a good job, but damn. Wr're buying everything for the city. They should be buying fire trucks and buildings. At least that's what we were told. The volunteers are tired of funding everything and its time the city did their part.
Gary Comegys wants to be YO NECKS MARE. He is counting on the support of the SFD and SVFD. Show him some love. Vote for JIM IRETON.
The City needs new leadership, and new council direction as well. The only way to turn Salisbury Fire Department back in good standing with employees as well as volunteers, and the rest of Wicomico County, and the State level is to replace all the department heads within the Fire Department. They are a discrace just like the Mayor has done to the entire City of Salisbury. They are a bunch of money hungry crooks, and will lie to you as soon as they look at you. Please Jim Ireton, run for Mayor. Then you can make Salisbury a better place to live and work.
