Narrative: On 8 July 2012
at 12:41 AM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report a glass breaking at a residence in the 300 block of Wyman Drive. While enroute, deputies were provided with a description of a subject who was seen leaving the area where the sound of broken glass was coming from. One of the deputies stopped and questioned Samuel Curtis who was found
walking nearby. Curtis matched the description provided and also coincidentally had a crowbar hidden in his pants leg. The deputies then observed how this item perfectly matched the fresh pry marks at the residence in the 300 block of Wyman Drive where the incident occurred. It is apparent that Curtis was trying to break into the house when the noise apparently alerted neighbors.

Curtis was placed under arrest for attempted first degree burglary of an occupied residence. Curtis was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Curtis in the Detention Center in lieu of $40,000.00 bond.
