Daily Times Getting Even Smaller

I'm not sure if many of you have noticed, (or even go to the on line DT's) but the on line edition of the Daily Times has shrunk in a big way.

I was discussing it with a friend yesterday after they asked if I had noticed the change and I replied, I did notice.

Since neither of us pay for a newspaper we're not sure if their news has simply dropped to next to nothing since the recent shake up and firing of two Editors or if they're gearing up for what many other Gannett papers are getting ready to do and that's charge an on line subscription.

Either way, you are getting a lot less news and information these days for 4 times more money.

BE VERY CAREFUL: You may get a spoof phone call from the Daily Times telling you they are Salisbury News and ask if you'd like to buy a subscription. Remember Folks, we are FREE.

For those of you who only buy the Wednesday and Sunday paper for the coupons, ask your local Dollar Store if they sell those papers the following day. I'm told you can get them for a quarter and not have to pay for a subscription any more.

7:53 - don't tell us you're still buying that bird cage liner.

Is it a prerequisite for their delivery drives to not have mufflers on their cars? We don't get the paper but at least one person on our street does and I hear that darn car every morning. This is not the first one either that has been missing a muffler.

We can only hope that it will get so small that nobody will be able to see it! That paper will never make a turn around, in this area only online may be it's kiss of death. Which can't come soon enough for me.

Further, as long as Greg Bassett has anything to do with it, it will always be slime.

If it gets any smaller, they could have it printed at "The Guide" in Seaford
