General Motors knows July and August will be important months for Chevrolet, as it's the time when many vehicles make the switch from 2012 models to 2013 models. That's why the company is rolling out two new plans to try and bring customers to its dealerships, including a no-haggle pricing plan and a 60-day return policy on certain vehicles.

I am shopping for a new car ,but there is no way I can purchase a car from Government Motors regardless of the incentive.
Why should I purchase a car that I already paid for in taxes that are bailing them out? It just doesn't make sense.
As per GM commercial last night ..."Chev set record sales last year...thanks to you" .....well how about thanking us by repaying your bill to the goverment in full and repaying all of the stock holders and investers you left holding the bag when you went bell up!
Never again buy a Chevrolet or Chrysler product as long as Obama has them in his pocket. And I was always a Chevy guy.
No haggle pricing? Didn't GM offer that with Saturn? They made a good product, quickly bred highly loyal customers, and had a lot of promise, until GM started shuffling executives in and out of that brand. Before long, Saturn was just like every other GM brand.
In 2003, I bought a 1992 Saturn SL2 with 70k miles for $1000, cash. It lasted me 4 years and 100k miles with little more than routine maintenance. And while far from a speed demon, it was generally a pleasant drive. It handled well, went fast enough to get me speeding tickets, and got good gas mileage. It was the best value of any car I ever owned.
In the last year I owned it, several major repairs came up that far exceeded the value of the car. It didn't make economic sense to put that kind of money into it.
When looking for a replacement car, I saw that Saturn was basically producing the exact same engine, 16 years later. Their was no innovation in the brand in all that time, other than making bigger cars. Quality was subpar compared to competitive cars. Better deals were to be found elsewhere.
You idiots have no idea what you're talking about. Want them to pay it back? THEY ALREADY HAVE, MORONS. But God forbid AMERICA should act to save AMERICAN INDUSTRY. You should all move to Liberia. You'd be much happier there.
Reduce the prices! And i don't mean a couple dollars.
I'm not paying $30 to $40,000. dollars so some line employee can make $35.00 an hour.

Most of them make double that amount. What I want to know is if Toyota is making cars in the US with nonunion employees why are they still more than American cars that use union workers?
Screw GM.Ford or Chrysler didnt get bailed out and they are doing well.Buy a Honda or a Toyota.
1:14 you are nut case they will never be able to pay back Obama raped the the stockholders and taxpayers and you call it payback ,Oh I forgot you are just another liberal that has had to have a lobotomy probably not your fault .
3:58,
Not 1:14 here, but Chevrolet has in fact paid back the bailout money exactly to the letter of the pre-determined conditions. While 1:14 might be making his or her point a little childishly, I agree with the sentiment. Why would you want to watch an entire industry fail when successful government intervention could save hundreds of thousands of American's jobs?
Anon 1:14 , hey Moron , they have NOT repaid the money they have repaid the INTEREST only ! Know what your talking about before you open your kool- aid drinking mouth .
114-They still owe us taxpayers over 35 billion. All we have to show for it is their watered down stock price.
