that really depends on what kind of music you like. and when you lived. could be the glen miller band, tommy dorsey, buddy holley, elvis, the eagles and on and on.
Man, what a tough question, but I would have to go with Pink Floyd, and that being said, Earth Wind and Fire with that horn section and small symphony have to be added to the list of contenders....
The 1998 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records recognized them with a listing under the heading, "most rock concerts performed" (182 concerts in 1998).[45] They played to an estimated total of 25 million people, more than any other band, with audiences of up to 80,000 attending a single show.
They performed over 2300 concerts, in over 30 years until Jerry Garcia's death.
Pink Floyd. The music transcends stereotypes, genres, and the passage of time. People of all walks of life, and differing generations, can connect and enjoy their timeless music. Hands down, Pink Floyd.

Concur with 11:23 that both your/my age and genre have a big influence in pondering this question. Among my favorites, in no specific order:
Beachboys
Asleep At The Wheel
Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys
Chicago
Derek & The Dominos
Glenn Miller
Alabama
If we expand to include vocalists Joe would need more bandwidth to handle my list!

The Beach Boys. The boys of summer and America's Band.
ZZ Top
Rolling stones!
Alabama and CCR
