HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

THE ARRIVAL OF “THE DOVE”

The Dove is an accurate recreation of the ship that brought the first settlers to Maryland in the 17th century. It is a truly worthwhile experience to view this historic ship. It is being brought to Salisbury through a joint venture of the Nabb Center and the Wicomico Historical Society. It will be here from September 15-18, with the 15th & 16th being reserved for tours by the school children in the County. The public is invited to tour the ship from 5:30-7 on Third Friday or on either Saturday or Sunday. Tours are free. The ship will dock in the Wicomico River next to Brew River Pub. I hope to see everyone there.

I don't think that was a Tea Party guy but nice try at being a jacktard. As someone who spent time on Dove as a young man I am pleased that I will be able to show my children as well. Let me add that I think that anything that gets the chitlins of today away from the idiot box that force feeds them liberal doses of all manner of sex and violence is a plus.

The Wicomico Historical Society is covering most of the financial costs. There have been many generous donations from people around Salisbury. This is costing the City of Salisbury not one red cent. Thank you to the commenters who understand what we are trying to accomplish by bringing the Dove to Salisbury. If I'm able, I will be there Saturday (and maybe Sunday). This is hands-on history, folks. Don't miss it.

I would tend to agree that a person whose first question about why a historical and educational boat is comingto our harbors is "who is paying for this," is an illiterate tea partier who is selfish and only cares about one thing, their bottom line. All the while I bet that guy or gal mooches off the government teat of MEDICARE, but kids can't see a special boat with out running it by his greedy eyes first. I hope I never get old, I wouldn't ever want to look in the mirror and see the scum that is a tea partier. I would rather die a thousand deaths than live for only one moment as a Medicare mooching tea partier.

Paul O'Niell,

No time to respond to your silly Daily Kos talking points, but perhaps you should familiarize yourself with what paid for the Dove in the first place, then who built it and where.

Nah forget it why not, I'll waste a few minutes of my life dressing down a mental giant like yourself for a few laughs.

Mr. Okneell, do you think PUBLIC school children should be allowed on the Dove? Are you aware of the many religious overtones surrounding the Dove?

I'm sure a true progressive like yourself would like to minimize what the original Dove's role was for the colonies would you not? Like many of those evil corporations you owe your livelihood to, her motive was first profit, then religious freedom. Are you aware what her first cargo was? Or where she got her name, or the name of her sistership the Ark, named after....gasp oh liberal BLASPHEMY, I mentioned something of the bible, I bet you want my Tea Party tongue cut out don't you Robert Oneal?

“If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea even there shall thy hand lead me.”

— Psalm 139:9

Here's another one, did you also know that Dove's keel had been blessed in a ceremony by Episcopal Bishop Martin Townsend from Easton?

And last but not least, I'm sure a true blue blooded, environmentally conscious, Nancy Pelosi loving, Barack Obama worshiping, Godless commie like yourself would love to know what the builder thought of enviro wingnuts like yourself.

How about this quote I just took off my bookshelf.

Mr Richardson would ...go "in and start logging. He’(d) cut as many thousands of board feet as he can till some environmentalist screams loud enough; then he quits and lays low.”

Mr. Ohneill, in short, you are joke, and a fool, you have no understanding of history, and you are unable to comprehend reality, you're very existence depends on people like me paying the bills, both here and abroad, for swine like yourself, you're existence, to me, seems most similar to a tick, flea, or leach, sucking off the lifeblood of others. And finally, history has judged socialism as a colossal failure, which as rumor has it, looks quite a bit like your personal life.

Laughter ensues, as I hit the send button, and log off to enjoy my life.
