Don’t Be Shocked When Lowe’s Won’t Sell You A $2,999 Fridge Mistakenly Priced At $298
No matter how many times we remind everyone that stores are generally under no legal obligation to honor a pricing mistake, some folks still seem to think that a retailer must make good — and lose hundreds, possibly thousands, of dollars — on something as obvious as a decimal error.

Why would anyone "expect" to pay such a low price when it's obvious it was a mistake? As soon as human beings become all perfect then we can "expect" to pay an unbelievably low price on an item in a store without questioning in our minds if it's a mistake or not.
The same folks that expect to be able to fill it with beer, steaks, and crabs purchased with their food stamp cards!
Honestly, I have to agree with the couple on this one. This was more than a "decimal error" - not only was the price itself incorrect, but also the total savings AND the percentage off (if you look at the fine print, it clearly says "90% off"). Probably a situation in which a computer program auto-generates the savings, etc after the price is entered, but you'd think that someone would actually look at the price as they were putting it on the fridge.
So, Lowes is saying that the original price was $30,000 for that 90% off refrigerator??
And its the CONSUMER who is supposed to be the stupid one here???
Gander Mtn. made an error like this on a shotgun, I wrote corporate and they said that the local store had to sell it to me at the displayed price. I got a Remington 870 for just $25.00 instead of $250.00.
Look for the fine print in the circular that states they are not responsible for any misprints before wasting your time people.
2:47, that is correct on a circular included in the mail or newspaper, but when it is made out in the store, that is a whole different matter. The law that is violated is called, "Bait and switch", which used to be practiced all over Delmarva!
I think Lowe's messed up and need to sell the fridge at the price on the tag.
