Get your resume spiffed up and your best interview outfit ironed — there are more job openings in the U.S. than there have been in almost four years. In March, employers were looking for people to fill positions at a rate that hasn't been seen since July 2008.

every position is a telemarketer/fundraiser for the obama campaign
That is a bold face lie. You go and try to find a new job, see if there isn't over 100+ people applying if it is a decent one.
and those 100+ people applying for decent jobs need to realize that fast food jobs and other ones that seem "sucky" are all we have got. people need to stop being so picky. a job is a job, and money is money!

Im assuming you are the same type of person that wonders why people complain about the wealth distribution in this country.
Working at fast food is literally not even worth the time, because you can not even cover cost of living with those wages.
Yea @ 3:44 when was the last time you tried to pay bills while working a a fast food joint? That sounds like someone who has not had to work very hard to me over the past few years. There is a tad bit of a difference between 40+K a year and minimum wage to flip burgers so your statement is pretty stupid in my opinion. A job is not a job, that is why there are so many crappy jobs available because even if you work those you won't be able to afford the bills...
All those crappy fast food jobs will pay the bills but you have to be willing to get more than one job. Everyone knows that fast food jobs are only part time so they don't have to pay benefits. It's not fun having to work more than one job but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.
There's plenty of police officer, correctional facility, and security positions open. You can get the funding to get qualified too.
Jobs are available for people with the right skill set and/or the ability to learn. I just filled a position starting at $55,000 annually after 4 months of screening resumes and you would not believe the dumb things people listed on their resumes or said during the interview process.

Do you understand basic arithmetic?
If there are 50,000 jobs and 200,000 people looking for jobs: getting 2 jobs is impossible.
Not technically impossible, but I know what you mean. Should be impossible. Unfortunately, it would just leave even more people jobless.
3:44 is correct-Money is money and then if you can not cover the bills THAT IS when you supplement with entitlements or like 5:07 said, get 2nd job. In order to get a decent paying job you have to show you have a work ethic.
9 out of 10 executives and upper management started at the bottom flipping burgers and even sweeping the floor.
It's all in the attitude. Those who feel these jobs are beneath them will always be in the lowest income bracket.
