STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY ON THE ADDITION OF NEARLY 6,000 JOBS IN MARYLAND LAST MONTH

ANNAPOLIS, MD (November 23, 2010) – Governor Martin O’Malley issued this statement today on the addition of 5,900 jobs in Maryland for October.  This represents the largest year-to-date jobs gain in Maryland since 2000, as Maryland continues to outpace the rest of the nation, adding jobs at more than twice the rate of other states.

“Today’s announcement is another positive sign for families and businesses in our State.  Since January, as many other states have struggled to come through this national recession, Maryland employers have added 40,600 jobs to the payrolls.”

This number sounds suspect. Of course I'm cynical after learning he fudged July's unemployment numbers.
But if it is true and they are govt jobs only then it really doesn't count.

list them? how do we know he's lying? easy!

Wonder how many of those were election judges? Let's see what happens next month!

What jobs?
They are certainly few and far between here on the shore. The governor can spin it any way he wants. The reality is, unemployment is still going up and I don't see it changing any time soon with Marylands business climate!

I searched all over for some evidence of additional jobs in Maryland and came up with nothing.
What a thug, liar and cheat this man is.
I did however come across the lady from Bowie who spoke at the townhall with the pres that she was tired of defending him. Seems she just LOST her job at AmVet.
40,000 jobs - I think not.

The proof is in the pudding.

O'Malley - I want to see them. Now list them.

I too am suspect of the numbers.

You would think that he would have something on the Maryland government website. That was the first place I looked. Nothing.
My advice to folks would be to contact his office via his website and demand to know where these jobs are.

One last thing. We must do this to make this guy accountable. Somehow he slipped through the cracks with his lies and deceitful ways and was re-elected.
At the very least we need to watch him like a hawk - MAKE HIM ACCOUNTABLE.
