Mayor Ireton Cancels Council President Smith's "Issues & Answers” Show On PAC 14

Holiday Events – This week the City of Salisbury will be hosting the Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26th on the Government Office Building steps. Salisbury’s Winter Wonderland of Lights in City Park will be lit Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 6pm, and will continue to be lit every day from dusk to midnight, through January 2, 2011. Following the event at the park, the marina & docks around Brew River will host the Boat Parade. “Issues & Answers” Statement – “City Taxpayers appreciate my having department heads on the job, not on 30 minute commercials for Mrs. Smith’s re-election campaign. Mrs. Smith has repeatedly shown an unwillingness to work for legislative initiatives, such as Safe Streets legislation, that would help our departments make Salisbury safer and more efficient. These employees work for the executive branch, not the legislative branch,” said Mayor Ireton. The Mayor wishes the community a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving holiday and invites the public for the Community Tree Lighting on Friday, Nov. 26th and the Winter Wonderland opening on Nov. 27th.

Good. I've watched that show. Waste of taxpayer money to have those employees doing that instead of their jobs.

For this horse poop, we have to shell out $1.00 a month to comcast?
Just another rip off!
