Foreclosures Are Hurting The Children

Children are an overlooked victim in the mortgage meltdown. Experts are growing concerned about the negative social, emotional and academic impact foreclosure turmoil is having on kids. Everything from forced relocation, moving to a new school, seeing your parents at each other's throats over money, to coming home and finding all your belongs in the trash takes its toll, and there isn't currently a public policy response to address the issues.

It happens and they will learn to deal with it. Seeing and living through hard ships like this will make them a better person in the long run.

8:29 You are right it will make them stronger and hopefully more appreciative. Even so the "right now" of it is very difficult because kids are often left in the dark up until they are without everything they knew. The sad reality is many families place importance on how much material items they can possess with little emphasis on self worth and the importance of compassion and concern therefore the children lose their "value" of themselves because they do not realize they are what is important not all the material items.

Kids are being treated like babies into their teens now a days and it is causing many to not comprehend reality and responsibility.

Its funny to see the responses on here about this. Especially when its a time of sharing and giving8:29 It happens and they will learn to deal with it "WHAT A CROCK!9:11 It make them stonger? To be kicked out of there home? Kids don't ask to be brought into this world! Let alone what some have to deal with! And your right they are dealing with it by steeling, doing drugs, dropping out of school, having babys of their own, joining gangs and I could go on! And yes some parents keep things like this away from their children and most of the time its to keep them from worrying, when they should only be concerned with school and being a kid!! I think some people need to take a GOOD look at what is happening around them and how things are becoming, before saying they will learn!!Because what Im seeing on the news and hearing is not learning right they are doing wrong!! Hard times from what I can see are only going to get harded.
