THIS IS A DARN GOOD QUESTION!

Why does private charity have to take care of our wounded warriors?

Every time I see a commercial asking for donations I wonder why the government these people fought for is not taking care of their every need?

They don't have to. You don't have to. But, if more people gave out of the goodness of their hearts, we would need the government less.

They are too busy spending your tax money on those who can work but won't. Create jobs, eliminate much of the welfare and give that money to those who earned it with their sacrifice to our country.

The gubment needs all that money to take care of the illegal aliens so the people who served this country will have to fend for themselves.

Don't forget the request for money at the checkout counter.Do store employees have the right to refuse to ask customers for a $1 donation or change left over from a purchase?

So you want another welfare program? The government does provide medical care and disability payments, these charities go above that and provide other services, unless it is a charity like The Wounded Warrior Project. WWP has high admin costs and no longer gives directly to vets, instead they give to other charities. Save the admin and give directly to vets. If you want to.

To 6:00 AM. I wonder the same thing. Our government should take care of our wounded warriors before they send money to countries that hate us. "Charity begins at home."

It's not charity. It's a responsibility. These men and woman stood on the front lines and defended our freedom and protected those who could not protect themselves. They served with honor and were wounded doing so. Shame on a government that allows its VA medical system to fail these men and women so badly yet panders to every whim of the welfare nation. "Yes We Can"..... Then why haven't we?

It is more politically correct to ignore the needs of veterans while we support an endless stream of welfare families. Let's give bonuses to those who serve our country instead of those who mooch off our country.

I'll tell you why, Obama hates the military and anything and everything to do with it. He will go toss money down a toilet before he will do anything for our men in the military or vets. 2016 cannot get here soon enough and we really should not have to wait that long, he should have been impeached long ago.
