Get WeatherUnderground for your phone. Live radar and forecasts that are just as good if not better than local news stations.
When you get there, check out Wundermaps and animate your map to see which way the storm blows and how fast.
There's a free app, Radar Now.
Believe me, if you're over the age of 20 and paid any attention to the weather over the years, you can predict the weather better than any over paid meteorologist, just by looking at the radar. And, no need to spend ungodly amounts of time reading crap from people who are just doing the same thing you're doing... looking at a radar map or satellite photo.
Until Steve Hammond is gone, WBOC will continue to sink below the surface.
Why would anyone download an app from a very small market tv station? There are way to many national and international apps out there that do a thousand times better job.
Intellicast weather app is the best weather app out there. They have great options for your map overlays that can't be found anywhere else.
