SCHOOLS OUT!!!

School is out for the summer. What will you be doing with your kids. Are you going on vacation? Where? Will you be spending your time and money here on the shore? Or is the economy too tight and you'll be keeping the kids at home and putting them to work?

Whatever your plans are, let us know. Who knows, maybe you'll have ideas we all can share in that will be frugal and fun!

School was out last week for my Grandson. Camping, fishing, all local money to support the local economy.

techo-Cherrystone is a great campsite(well worth the drive), Deep creek park(not on the shore, but again definitely worth the drive), Sandy Hill in Quantico, Roaring Point in Nanticoke, Castaways in Berlin, Island Resort in Newark MD. Most have waterfront property, and I've camped at them many times as a Scout growing up.

1) Enjoying time with my children and loving the fact I know they are safe at home with me
2) Organizing and running a club for local children
3) Going to PA for a much needed escape from the day to day
4) Camping
5) Fishing
6) Starting a clothing drive to assist families with the demands of back to school clothing needs

Most importantly enjoying life because it is the only one I have!

Trap Pond in Laurel, DE and Killens Pond in Camden, De are both beautiful lakeside campgrounds. Close too! The tent sites at Killens are large and not too close together. We just came back from a wonderful weekend there. Free live local music concerts on friday nights too.
