The Wicomico County Board of Education will have a work session at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, to continue its discussion with the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on Meeting the Needs of High Performing Learners. Work sessions are open for the public to come and listen to the Board’s discussions. 410-677-4561.

June 24-25 and June 28-29
Registration for Secondary Summer School; Classes June 30-Aug. 6
Parkside High School

Registration for Wicomico County Secondary Summer School will be held June 24 (4-7 p.m.), June 25 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), June 28 (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and June 29 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.). Registration will be held at Parkside High School; use the bus ramp entrance across from the Ward Museum. Students must bring a copy of their report card to register. Courses will meet June 30-Aug. 6 for remedial classes and original credit classes (Algebra II/Trig and Geometry). In-county, remedial per course tuition is free for students receiving free meals/$50 for students receiving reduced price meals/$100 for all others. Out-of-county tuition is $160 per course. Original credit courses are $200 in-county, $325 out-of-county. Call Evening High School at 410-677-4537, or after June 21 call the Summer School directly at 410-677-5289.

The Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 29. The main item on the agenda will be the approval of the fiscal 2011 budget. 410-677-4561.
