Salisbury government has become completely disfunctional. If this continues the fire station will fall down like other properties in this town. The one thing local government can't do is make a decision much less make a right decision.

Hey Joe, Buy it and make it a Museum for the history of Salisbury and the fire dept. and police dept.

anonymous 7:32, If I were to buy it, I want to make money with it. When is the last time you paid to go visit a museum for police and fire?

Joe,
I have a thought...Why don't you move to Salisbury and run for Mayor. I'm not being sarcastic..
After following your blog for so long, you seem to be the only person around Salisbury that knows how to get things done & you are certainly a very intellegent man. Have you ever considered this?
Just a thought.
Michelle
PS: My word verification is an amusing coinsidence!!!!

Huge credit for the success of 3rd Friday should be given to the ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, and DANCERS who have been so generous of their time, participation, and creative efforts. If it were not for them, there would be no difference from any other silent night in the downtown area.

And we cannot forget the locally owned businesses that have been so noble to invest in this in the preservation of the downtown area. It's not like the area was bustling with patrons when they opened. So it can be perceived that there was some visionary motivation on the part of many of these folks.

Other cities have regular events like this EVERY weekend and as a result their surrounding communities have flourished over the years. Let's hope this is the beginning of good days to come.

Joe, FYI, it is legal (at least in MD) for a property owner to exclude certain people from purchasing a property as long as it is not based on race, sex, or religion. It happens all of the time. It is not illegal to turn down an offer because of a higher offer price, either.

7:13 it is not legal to publically blackball someone from doing anything. If Art Webster and Mr. Albero didn't keep the sale of 300 W. Main St quiet he would have never owned that property either. The horses that Bill Hearne funded for so many years is a prime example of being blackballed by a mayor. Gary Comegys has no say in who buys what just because he doesn't like Joe Albero. Gary Comegys thinks he and his two puppets are the end all be all in Salisbury. I'll give them one thing, if they continue on the same path they are on, they will certainly be the cause of the end of Salisbury.

O.K. Then put your restaurant on the bottom floor and the museum on the second floor, or vice versa. Than people can eat and than talk a walk through the history of Salisbury.
