10 Shot In Baltimore This Weekend

BALTIMORE (AP) - It's been a violent weekend in Baltimore, with 10 people shot between early Saturday morning and Sunday morning.

Police say one of the victims, 19-year-old Marquell Turner, was killed. The rest survived, although a 29-year-old man was shot in the head and was in critical condition when he was hospitalized Saturday night.

Four people were wounded in the legs and arms in one shooting Saturday night. Detective Jeremy Silbert, a police spokesman, says a gunman emerged from an alley and began firing wildly. It's not clear whether any of the victims were his intended targets.

Silbert says none of the shootings appear to be related. They were scattered around the city. Aside from the quadruple shooting, the rest involved lone victims.

Damn, I was going to drive to Baltimore tonight to look for The Wire landmarks. Maybe not.

Baltimore sounds like a party. Woot!
