Marine shot dead at McDonald's drive thru after fight

A 25-year-old Marine veteran was murdered at a McDonald's drive-thru after a fight broke out over a honked horn, police say.

Justin Lampkins, 25, was allegedly shot in the chest by Evan Schaffer, 22, in the early hours of Saturday morning in what Indiana police called one of 'the most senseless acts they had ever seen.'

Lampkins had been in the car with friends, just one vehicle behind Schaffer, while they waited in line at the drive-thru of a McDonald's in Bedford, Indiana.

Liberals will use this tragedy as a call for more restrictions on our Gun Rights, but this demonstrates exactly the Opposite: a need for more people to be armed. Schaffer may well have been carrying his weapon legally, we don't know, and this whole tragedy could have been averted If Only Lampkins -- or one of his buddies -- had the right to carry a gun with them. A well-trained, law-abiding shooter could have easily saved that Marine's life, but Liberals are making that harder and harder to do these days.

Liberals want gun control for those they disagree with not for themselves. What do you think will happen when they are the only ones with guns.

6:25. Wow. How many more would have died if everyone had been carrying? What a stupid comment.

Actually, your comment is deprived of any intelligence.

Crazy. Makes you want to think twice before honking when the light turns green and the car in front of you doesn't move. Sad times. :-(

This is so very sad for the victim and his family. And it's sad for the rest of us, too.

For those who see this as a reason for MORE gun control laws that don't work, here is the point you are missing; people are MUCH less likely to use a gun during a disagreement with a stranger, if they THINK the other person may be armed. It's that simple. They are LESS LIKELY to use a gun to rob a store, if they THINK a clerk, or a customer, may be armed. Concealed and open carry laws actually reduce incidences of this type of crime. Thugs are only brazen in their gun and assault crimes because they THINK that gun control laws keep their victims unarmed. Once you get this basic psychological point, then the realization of why certain politicians and a political party want to disarm citizens will become apparent to you. You will be enlightened as to why they oppose the second amendment.
