why is it the taxpayers responsibility to pay for this? don't those people get enough free shit?
Can those people serving on this "do gooder" board pony up the scratch to pay for the program?
If they are that passionate about this program they should be able to get Soros to pony up the cash.
You people are horrible. How is it any Childs fault that they don't have enough to eat at home. I just can't believe the things that come out of some peoples mouths. You would watch a child starve. This must make you feel like such good folks. Hope you all go hungry that feel this way.
I would be more prone to advocate this program IF they provided something nutritious, instead of things like pop tarts!
Oh they have enough at home to eat 5:52, thanks to food stamps and food pantries. The problem lies with the lazy mothers who figure why bother feeding the kid when the school will do it for me. You are very naive to the ways of this entitlement class of people.
Also 5:52 when was the last time you have heard of a kid starving in this county. It doesn't happen. Go to any elementary school around and look at the overweight kids.
5:52 If the children are eligible for a free lunch, then the odds are that the parents are eligible for food stamps. Have you seen the amount of money that is given on a food stamp card? MORE than enough to pay for a child's breakfast AND to pack a lunch. Oh, and by the way, why do they get special treatment over the children that pay for their lunches???? If my child goes to school without lunch money, then he receives a cheese sandwich. BUT the child who receives "free" lunch, they will get a hot meal. Do you really see the fairness in that?! If a cheese sandwich is not good enough for the free lunch child, then it NOT good enough for my child(ren). The double standard is bull****. To be quite frank, as a tax payer, am I not paying for the "free" lunch? Then it all should be equitable. And dont even get me started on the pre-k dilema that is going on in our state and county.......
If you take away this free program they won't have money to spend at the seafood markets.
Does this seem fair? We give them free breakfast, lunch and they get assistance from food pantries and also food stamps. No wonder they can afford to buy seafood.
The public school should not give out breakfast and lunches for free. It is not the schools job to raise your children. It is the parents jobs. So the parents should be responsible to feed their own children, If they don't the children should be taken away from them. They get welfare free food, free medical and the like. They should feed their kids and stop spending all their money on crack.
