GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO HOST SYMPOSIUM ON JOB CREATION

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Governor Martin O’Malley will join Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development Secretary Christian Johansson, business leaders, educators and industry stakeholders for the Maryland Made Easy 2012 Symposium on Job Creation to prepare for the upcoming 2012 legislative session. The Governor will hear from and discuss with business and policy leaders the steps necessary to spur job creation in Maryland; share what business and government are doing to support economic growth; and gather feedback on how to make it easier for businesses to thrive in Maryland.

Among the local leaders speaking at the Symposium will be University of Maryland, Baltimore County President Freeman Hrabowski; Urban Land Institute Executive Vice President Maureen McAvey; and Whiting Turner Construction Executive Vice President Dan White.

Marylanders are also encouraged to share insights and ask questions via Twitter using the hashtag #MDJobsForum.
