Local Energy Event

Hi Joe,

I’m hoping you can help to publicize a free and fun community event in Salisbury on Oct. 8 that supports energy efficiency and Delmarva Power’s Pledge to Save.

To help spread the word about October’s designation as Energy Awareness Month and the important message of energy efficiency, Delmarva Power is encouraging Marylanders to “Pledge To Save” at home and work. Delmarva Power customers in Maryland who take this symbolic pledge will be entered to win one of three $250 Lowe’s Home Improvement gift cards.

To kick off this initiative, there will be a fun, family-friendly event on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Lowe’s of Salisbury, 2606 N. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, MD, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Randy Scott of Q105 will be on-site playing music and giving away tons of prizes, including additional Lowe’s gift cards, concert tickets, and other great items. Energy advisors from Delmarva Power will be available to talk to customers about ways to save money and energy. Also, customers can bring their old and outdated appliances to the event, and Delmarva Power will recycle them for FREE.

You can find more information and take the pledge at www.delmarva.com/pledge.

Delmarva Power Sucks! They do not care about their customers in these hard times. All they care about is getting every last dollar they can suck out of you. Had my electric shut off, because of financial difficulties. First time ever,I have been late from time to time but i always paid. I went to pay my bill in full and they charged 300.00 more for a restore fee. They are nothing but thieves! Maybe they should take a class in empathy!

I bet they don't charge people on assistance, $300.00! In these times there is no compassion,it's all about leaving you empty.Maybe somebody should ask the energy advisors how in the hell can you save money if you are ripping people off at $300.00 a clip?
