Labor Day Weekend Will Be A Flop

WBOC is begging their viewers to come visit the beaches this weekend, after Irene hit the economy hard last weekend.

Well, unfortunately, if you look at the traffic at the Bay Bridge right now, THERE IS NONE! Let me make this very clear. There is NO TRAFFIC from the Bay Bridge all the way to Ocean City.

Hey WBOC, GUESS WHAT, Marylanders are tapped out! They blew their wad at Home Depot and Walmart and there's NOTHING LEFT!

I'm sure it will be sunny the rest of today at the beach as well as 95 degrees and sunny with no winds at the beach for the rest of the weekend. What a shame, so many of us will miss the perfect weekend, NOT.

Yeah, they were terrified of the big bad storm and spent 600 bucks on generators, all the freakin batteries they could carry and plywood.

Too bad wally world doesn't sell COMMON SENSE. It is of dire need in this area.

Some actually ENJOY the OC beach experience. Let them. Stay home if you don't like it or go to another destination.

Ocean City is not set up for the weekend travelers anymore. They have torn down so many of the hotels and put up condos now. Many do not want to rent for a week they want to be able to come down for a weekend or in this weeks case an long weekend. The people in OC can not complain they have not made money this year they have had great weather all summer. The greed of the developers have not be kind to keeping OC as a nice weekend family getaway at the beach.

Would you give it a rest about the hurricane and be thankful we were spared from it? People died because of the hurricane. Quit complaining, people. Grow up.

kids are back in school! That is what has killed the "Labor Day weekend" Parents and kids are tired after working to get back into the routines of the school year. You can thank our Feds. for the NCLB. School districts want to get a jump start on the school year for the name sake of a test score!

OC business owners should be grateful their businesses still exist instead of whining about losing a weekend of business. Many many people in many other places did not get as lucky as the eastern shore did.

Better look at the traffic again, I would hate to be in it

OC hasn't been a 'family resort' for decades.

Who is complaining besides you? The best way I know of not to see something you don't like, is not to read it.

As Joe has pointed out numerous times, there is a little red 'x' at the top corner. Push it and viola, your problem (and ours) is gone.

That would be the mature thing to do so, grow up and click it. Bye now.

Again, click the little 'x' and you won't see the owners whine.

And we won't see you whine about them whining. See how that works?

lovely, I must head to the beach now that all the idiots are no longer there! guess if they don't come it will also impact the msp's revenue generation!

to 10:22... Okay.. well Joe should learn how to use the remote control "off" button. If you don't like WBOC, turn it OFF and quit complaining about them so much. It's getting old.

OC still has Sunfest yet to come, that's always a good weekend. Less junk for sale and a lot of real arts and crafts to check out.
