Big ol' sand bar keeping back the Atlantic from Ocean Pines
Actually, the south end has grown tremendously. When I was a child the ocean came all the way up to the boardwalk and people would sneak under there to change into their bathing suits. When the jetty was built it directed a huge amount of sand into that area and now we have a huge beach parking lot.
I immediately hear "teenage wasteland" in my head!
9:12am - my thoughts exactly! Big Storm and bayfront becomes oceanfront in a matter of hours!!!!
Can't fool with Mom Nature! Hey Mom, if you plan to do anything, make sure (1) Its after White Marlinfest; (2) Its after Sunfest; (3)I've already evacuated!!
