Officials form task force to address dirt bikes in Baltimore

BALTIMORE —The Baltimore Police Department is forming a task force dedicated solely to finding solutions to people illegally riding dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles on city streets.

Calling dirt bike riding on public streets a nuisance and a public safety issue, Baltimore police and the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office are teaming up to try to end this reckless and dangerous activity.

Police released video of riders weaving through traffic disobeying traffic laws.

Police are looking for one rider in particular -- Jamar Beckford, 23. Police said a surveillance camera caught him wiping bullets and then loading them into a handgun. He is wanted for handgun and dirt bike violations.

There's been at least one BLACK lady killed by these things. Person never caught and many injuries to bystanders some really bad. All BLACK victims of these things. No outrage from other blacks. It's disgusting.

This is the most problematic thing in Baltimore, sure as s#it! Damn glad that all LEO is focused on this, and not on our heroin and crack trade deals!

That's how they are dealing the drugs. These things are fast and hard to track .

These things are a huge problem. A few weeks ago one ran into the vehicle of an off duty city detective. They surrounded her car pulled her out and proceeded to beat her up. A lot of people have been hurt and many vehicles badly damaged because of these bikes. It's not the bikes so much as how they ride them. There are videos the victims took on YouTube. They surround moving vehicles and threaten people and if you give them a look or say something they will get violent. The blacks in that city are like something of a lower form of life.

I see them all the time in Salisbury, have called the police, but they were gone before they came. Some wear masks, no tags, no helmets. Just say a guy the other day on 50 in front of Wi Middle doing a wheelie, again no helmet, no tags!

I've seen these knuckleheads on Levin Deshield Road and other back roads on the Westside. One idiot was going fast as hell passing cars on the shoulder. What a bunch of idiots that have nothing better to do.
