Wicomico/Sussex County Could Now See Up To 6" Of Snowfall

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Wicomico County which is in effect from Wednesday evening February 25, 2015 at 10:00 PM until Thursday afternoon February 26, 2015 at 4:00 PM. The Winter Weather advisory is no longer in effect.

*Hazards: Snow

* Accumulation: Snow Accumulation is expected to be 3 to 6 inches

*Winds: Northeast 10 to 15 MPH.

*Temperatures: Mid to upper 20’s

*Timing: Light snow will overspread the region around midnight Wednesday and increases in coverage and intensity into Thursday Morning.  The snow is expected to taper off to light snow showers late Thursday morning or early Thursday afternoon.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or are occurring.  Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.

Salisbury's streets are not cleared yet -- 10 days after the last big snowfall. Unbelievable!
