Seems like a fair verdict. It is good that they did not persue the death penalty. This guy is the product of a war that we sent him to. It is not forgivable that he killed two guys, especially since they were trying to help him, apparently.
There was never a question of guilt or innocence - always the insanity drove him to it....all the more reason for the death penalty. The government has demonstrated that any mental defect is forever and incurable in their eyes - as shown in their basis for denial of gun permits for any association with a mental health professional.
Can't anyone be mentally unstable BEFORE they fight in a war? Millions of people who have never even been in the military are mentally unstable without benefit of PTSD.
