1 Md. Casino Booming While Others Losing Revenue

WASHINGTON - There are now five casinos operating in Maryland and while some are losing money, one is booming.

Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency's August, 2014, revenue numbers show the Maryland Live Casino in Hanover, Maryland, brought in the most money.

The casino in Arundel Mills Mall generated more than double the revenue of Maryland's other four casinos -- combined.

It raked in $57 million in August, about a 7.4 percent increase from the same month last year.

The Hollywood Casino in Perryville and the Casino at Ocean Downs in Berlin both saw a drop in gaming revenue, down 4.25 percent and .65 percent, respectively.

Yep, leave it to Jim Mathias pushing for Ocean Downs and it's a flop.
