Petition Drive Launched To Get Transgender Rights Bill On Ballot

The bill that extends the protections of the state's anti-discrimination law to transgender people may go before voters this year.

Washington County Delegate Neil Parrott, House Minority Whip Kathy Szleiga and other legislative Republicans are launching a petition drive to get the issue on the ballot in November.

Parrott heads a group called MDPETITIONS.COM.

In 2011 and 2012, that group gathered enough petition signatures to put the DREAM Act, congressional redistricting and the same sex marriage law before voters in the 2012 General Election.

Screw this, lets put legalization of pot on the ballot.

There are so few transgender people why are we spending time and tax dollars on something that doesn't help the majority of tax payers?

We should not put anything on the ballot for some confused homo tranny's. The same also can be said about legalizing pot. Just what we need a bunch of pot smoking liberal hippies walking around.

Everybody does know what the bathroom bill is right it isn't just about transgenders. It's about sex offenders as well. This bill allows an individual of the opposite sex to use the bathroom of the opposite sex's. This bill has so many loop holes. One of it being that an individual in a cause male wanted to use the bathroom and say that the person feel like a female that day that person can use the women's bathroom and the other way around. If this bill isn't stopped we would have offenders enter the opposite gender's bathroom and harass or molest the people in there at public restrooms.
