Oh I wish they would go back to the way it was years ago and have the parade downtown like it should be.

How about the theme for the CHRISTmas parade be about Christ.

12:49 PM, I was remembering that time myself and thought how wonderful it would be. The store fronts were all decorated for Christmas. It was fun shopping from store to store in the cold air, then getting warm up going in the stores for just the right gift. It seemed like family, like everyone was together and happy. Music filled the air. Getting a bit to eat at either Reads or Woolworth's what a great time. I think when the city leader's closed off downtown, the parade and everything else died; and hasn't been the same since.

@1:26PM - Christ is a super hero in my book!

The Christmas parade was much bigger, and better when it was on a Saturday. A lot more participation from churches, etc.

It is really a shame that they don't have more volunteers to help out with the parade. Why doesn't the city do anything to help?
