Salisbury Police department Press Release 7-16-12

Emmanuel Lamont Jones, 37yo of Salisbury, MD was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine (2 counts), Possession of Marihuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, and Fail to Obey a Lawful Order.

On July 12, 2012 at approximately 11:00pm, officers were on patrol in the 600 block of East RailRoad Ave. The officers observed a group of subjects standing outside of a residence. As the officers drove by, the officers smelled a strong odor of burning marihuana coming from the area of the group. As the officers exited the patrol vehicle to investigate, they observed Jones start to leave the area at a quick pace. The officers were able to make contact with Jones before he entered into a residence. The officers detected a strong smell of marihuana coming from Jones. As the officers began to question Jones he became irate and started to yell at the officers. Jones was asked
to calm down and be quiet. Jones continued to be disorderly and was arrested. A search of Jones incident to arrest found suspected “crack” cocaine in sufficient quantity to indicate distribution, a quantity of suspected marihuana and related
paraphernalia.

Jones was released to the custody of central booking.
