Rep. Ryan: Obama is "Dividing," "Distracting" The Country

Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., said President Obama's attacks on Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital is not important to voters, and that the president is ignoring issues Americans really care about.

"I'm sitting here in Janesville, Wisconsin; people are not worried about the details as to when Mitt Romney left Bain Capital to save the Olympics or the details about his assets, which are managed by a blind trust for Pete's sake," Ryan told Bob Schieffer. "They're worried about their jobs and their family's future.

"Barack Obama, he doesn't want to talk about that," the top Republican on the House Budget committee added. "He has a terrible jobs result, he has a terrible record to run on, so since he cannot run on his record he has now gone to dividing the country in order to distract the country and try to win this election."

It's the people that are dividing the country. "Those liberal idiots..." "Those stupid conservatives...".

It doesn't matter who's in office.

Who is our president while Obama is on the campaign trail?

He will be in every major city until the election he will spend more time in Air Force One and Marine One than in the white house. Guess its not like he has been doing much for us any how when he is in DC

Thank you 847. Ryan deserves credit for atleast putting out a concrete plan. Then he destroys that credit but playing political theater.

So Romney's whole rebuilding America campaign is based on the fact that he was a successful business man. Now that he is being questioned about being a business man and how he got his money, no one should talk about that. This is not a matter about President Obama devising the country is about getting the facts and the truth out there.

To the previous comments: Why is it an issue that the President is on the campaign trail? This has not been in issue in the past when a sitting president campaigned for re election; it's a normal part of the political process in America; whether the President be D or R
