West Salisbury Little League Water Issues

Would you be able to shed any light as to the water issue at West Salisbury Little League park?

There are Health Department signs posted and they have not had running water since the middle of April. There are concerned parents as the bathrooms are locked and portable toilets have been brought in. Except ice and fountain drinks, the concession stand remains in full operation. Some insight as to what is wrong and any possible remediation would put minds at ease, especially with the WWTP operations in plain sight and smell of the ball park.

From the signs put up last night at the ballpark, everything was tested again and is okay. The concession stand was in full swing and the bathrooms were open. I think they did a good job posting the notices and not using any running water.

If it is a non profit most times they are not held to the same rules as a licensed facility. Some non profits dont even need a tent or covering over head. Saw some of this at the Salisbury Festival.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Non profit or not is required to comply to all health standards and rules and regulations.

As someone who has a kid playing out there, I found that there was plenty of information posted. Numerous copies of the letter from the health department were posted everywhere that explained their water testing results.

There was also a separate letter from the league posted explaining that the cap on the well had been knocked over, and also talked about some other work that was being done out there.

Kudos to the league for keeping the parents informed of the testing, and the eventual resolution of the matter.

the problem was you used to have to flush twice to get everything to make it to liartons and pollitt's offices, now it only takes one flush!

Nanny State! Its a baseball field give the West People credit for fixing it! Bring water and food and use your own bathroom or Port A pot! Helpless

12:34 I do have a food license. There are pictures of non profits selling food at the festival. No tend, boiling water on a portable heater, etc. It may have been there when they were first inspected but it was there. Years ago I catered an event. I had tent, hand washing, food off the ground. A non profit set up beside me I ask why they didnt have a tend and food was on the ground. I was told they were non profit..

apparently, it's better for parks & recreation to acquire land then it is to do maintainance work.
