Casinos Generate $14.5 Million In Revenue During April
Perryville casino rakes in $10.7 million; Ocean Downs earns $3.8 million
BALTIMORE - Maryland's two casinos generated more than $14.5 million in revenue for the state, in keeping with a relatively stable first half of the year.
I wonder what the Education Trust fund actually pay for. The money goes into that account but is there a way for us to know exactly where it goes after that?
And they pay the employees nothing. I know someone who worked at Ocean Downs that asked about the benifits package due workers who work 32 hours a week. The next day he was cut to 24 hours a week, making him ineligible for bennies. Yet, by law, every surrounding community gets a fat check every month for impacting them. The real negative impact are the low wages paid.
Yep 3:36 is right. Then they end up having to supplement their low wages with things like food stamps, Medicaid and renters assistance, free child lunch program all at the tax payers expense.
