Markell Says Continued Job Growth Is Key


As Delaware’s economy struggles to get back on track, job creation is still the top concern of elected officials.  Gov. Jack Markell issued his annual state of the state address, Delaware’s Time to Lead, in the House Chamber in Legislative Hall in Dover Jan. 19.

Thanks to the Delaware Strategic Fund, the state has already attracted large employers, such as Bloom Energy, Mountaire Farms and Capital One, Markell said. The Strategic Fund provides loans and grants to businesses for job creation, relocation and expansion in Delaware.
