Vehicle Stop Nets Georgia Murder Suspect

Newark-Delaware State Troopers have arrested a 32 year old man wanted in connection for a homicide that occurred in Marietta, Georgia.
The incident occurred on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. as a Trooper on routine patrol conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation in the area of I95 northbound at Otts Chapel Road, Newark.  A computer check of the operator of the vehicle, Orville C. Rivera-32 of Atlanta, GA, revealed that he was a wanted fugitive with active warrants for a murder that occurred in Marietta, Georgia on Sunday, October 16, 2011.  Rivera was taken into custody without incident.  Rivera was charged with the above crime in Delaware and was committed to HRYCI on a $1,000,000.00 Cash Bond pending extradition to Georgia.
