Troopers Investigate Shots Fired At Car

Location: Friday, October 14, 2011 at 2:35 a.m.

Date of Occurrence: Residence located in the 32000 block of Dogwood Lane, Laurel, DE

Victims:

-42 year old Laurel, DE female
-41 year old Laurel, DE male
-11 year old Laurel, DE male
-10 year old Laurel, DE female

Suspects:

-There are no known suspects at this time.

Resume:
Laurel, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an incident in which the vehicle and home of a Laurel, DE family was shot at that occurred this past Friday.

The investigation into this incident began at approximately 2:35 a.m. on Friday, October 14 after Troopers were told to respond to a residence located in the 32000 block of Dogwood Lane, Laurel, for the report of a burglary. Upon their arrival, the investigating officers discovered that there was no burglary; however, they were advised by the homeowners that someone had fired several shots from an unknown type of gun into their 2011 Toyota Sequoia which was parked in their driveway. Further investigation revealed that a shot was also fired into the residence where it traveled through a laundry room and lodged in a bedroom wall. None of the four occupants of the home was injured.

This incident remains under investigation at this time.
