CONNELLY MILL ROAD RAILROAD CROSSING IN DELMAR TO CLOSE ON OCTOBER 24TH FOR EXTENSIVE REPAIRS

Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., announced today that the Connelly Mill Road Railroad Crossing in Delmar will be closed to traffic on October 24th so that county public works can make major improvements to the road bed. “I know our residents will be very pleased to see this long-delayed re-construction take place. This is the last railroad crossing in the county system to be upgraded. The project will cost $130,000 and is funded entirely by federal stimulus and railroad funds.”

Roads officials anticipate the work to be completed within one week.
