BRIEF RESUME:
On 09/22/2011 at approximately 1653 hours, Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the above location for a reported theft in progress. The complainant advised that he had pulled up to his closed business to observe a white female loading items from their store into a pick-up truck. The suspect later identified as Helen Marie Taylor, got into her 2005 Dodge Truck and fled with the complainant in pursuit.
The complainant stated that he lost site of the suspect vehicle in the San Domingo Road area of Sharptown Maryland. A broadcast of the suspect vehicle and suspect were given out to the other county police agencies and a Deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, recognized the suspect and vehicle and provided a possible residence in the San Domingo Road area. Troopers responded to the location along with the complainant and located the suspect vehicle. The complainant positively identified the suspect and the suspect vehicle. Eventually the suspect confessed and provided the location of the stolen items. The stolen items were positively identified by the complainant and returned to him at the scene. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Wicomico County Central Booking unit for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
