In a rural area in Maryland, reader MrStinkhead came across something that's not so unusual: a mansion in the middle of a swath of farmland. What makes it unusual is that construction stopped partway through, sometime in 2010, and the building has been left exposed to the elements since. We don't have any more details than that, which makes it nicely mysterious.

Thank you Mr. Clinton for making banks lend to those who couldn't afford!!! Mr. Bush should have stopped it also!
10:10, you're right. . .but the person who takes out the loan must take some responsibility. I mean, you don't HAVE to buy more house than you can afford! People have to think for themselves a bit and realize that they can get in over their heads even when they are assured by an MBA that they are approved and will be fine. People just want all they can get. Greed. They will live off credit. It is wrong! The motto is: Live like nobody else now so you can live like nobody else later. Save your money, invest etc. . .don't blow it all. . . then you can live high on the hog while the overextended fools are still trying to pay off their mansions and yachts. Many Americans finally learned an important lesson. The American Dream seems to have become: I am owed this mansion. . .and people actually get pissed at banks when they can't afford to pay anymore! There was a cop last week who destroyed his home when he could no longer pay for it! Disgraceful.
The particular property is on old Worcester Hwy (Rt113). Rt 90 overpass runs right along side of it.
It's been for sale for quite some time. I imagine the location with the traffic noise is making it an undesirable place to live.
maybe their the same people who built the condo on fitzwater street. Only in Salisbury can an eye sore like that still be around.
