Mills Signs Prosperity Pledge For Maryland

Dustin Mills, candidate for House of Delegates, joined with more than 40 candidates and Delegates to sign the Prosperity Pledge for Maryland.  The pledge expresses the dedication of the signees toward returning Maryland to prosperity, through tax cuts, job creation and transparent government.  The pledge was drawn up as a House Republican response to the dismal state of Maryland’s economy. “After decades of one-party rule in Annapolis, Maryland’s citizens are suffering,” said House Minority Leader Anthony O’Donnell.  “They are paying higher taxes during record levels of unemployment, and their government continues to burn through their hard-earned money. This state is at a crossroads and without a significant change in November this unchecked appetite for spending is going to lead to higher taxes.”
The Prosperity Pledge is built around four pillars; a roll back and repeal of the O’Malley tax increases, bringing jobs back; restoring Maryland’s sovereignty during a time of increasing overreaches by the Federal Government; and making Maryland’s government transparent and accountable to its citizens.  “I am committed to returning this great state to prosperity and making the Eastern Shore prosperous.  I am proud to be signing this pledge, showing my support for these principles.”
Mills has a strong record of being anti-tax and a supporter of pro-business policies.  “We need to help our small businesses and companies to prosper, creating well-paying jobs for citizens of Delmarva.  The state is facing the largest budget deficit in history next year and we need to take steps to fix the budget now.”
