We have been informed there has been a bomb threat at 7:00 PM At Wor-Wic. The campus is being evacuated as we speak. We're told the threat is on the administrative building.

I was getting ready to head over there for the Cotton Club Java. I just called and the recording says they will be closed for the evening effective 5:45PM.

Man being stuck in that traffic was terrible. I asked a police officer what was going on and he said, "Bomb, keep it moving!" I can't believe this stuff.

drove past on 50 on my way home.. they have the road closed in front of the college, ambulances sitting ready.. knew something was going on.. crazy just crazy
Oh my god yes. Tried to turn around and got yelled at by about 3 cops. They weren't telling anyone what was going on. From the other comment I'm glad I wasn't sitting in there. jrh

6:28 That is such a shame. Books and purses can be replaced but lives can't. I hope it was just a hoax and everyone can get their belongings back safely, especially before the blizzard comes. What an inconvenience. Good luck and sorry you were scared. Sounds like security did an excellent job of taking the threat seriously and evacuating the whole campus.
Just shows the current populous. That place is being filled up with thugs and trailer trash. Such a shame it was a great institution. They have got what they asked for. Everybody and their brother is a student now. Including convicted felons, drug dealers and get this GANG Members.
i was there and it was very scary...the note that was found said that the bomb would go off at 7:30. this was the scariest thing that i have ever had to go through. i just hope that they catch whoever did this. i was cooking dinner for a joint county dinner that was supposed to be going on tonight.
and just so you know the girl who stabbed her boyfriend was only one of two stabbing incidents at wor0-wic this week! 2 stabbings on 21 seperate occasions and a bomb threat...can i get a refund?

Security, if they really did evacuate the building like that, could have done it differently. For example request everyone to exit the building immediately, and not cause chaos by the way they did it.
This is because ANYONE can attend Wor-Wic regardless of grades. Even the mentally retarded can take classes if they want to. This is not a joke or a put down, it is fact for community colleges.
Totally agree 9:16...if someone is crazy enough to place a bomb somewhere their not gonna go through all that work and then tell u about it! Tonight was nothing but a big inconvenience for students and people trying to get home from work!
They evacuated us by setting off the fire alarms, when we got outside is when we were told to leave immediately. It was total chaos because nobody knew what was going on!
The fire alarms and the word passing of a bomb threat made people cause chaos. I work there, I know this!
I cannot believe the idiots posting on here. People saying that WWCC is going down the tubes? It is a college. Everyone can choose to educate themselves. Who are you to judge who can and who cannot better themselves?
I agree, its called a bomb threat. And most are not credible. Why would they warn you? Wouldn't that defeat their sick purpose?
And to say that the Security wasn't real security because they didn't get peoples purses? (At least I think that is what you meant-you're grammar isn't the best.) Real security was worried about the people-you know, lives, that cannot be replaced, ever.
If you check the Wor-Wic website...they have designated areas for everyone to pick up their belongings.

I have yet to find any of these self proclaimed descriptions even remotely true. Ignorance is what rules this place. You'll never know its different anywhere else, because all those ppl that make these statements havent lived anywhere else, some great perspective there. Small town, incredibly small minds.

Wow, I couldn't agree more with that assessment unless I wrote it myself!
Someone probably wasn't prepared for an assignment and decided this was the best way out. I've already had my class canceled twice this semester on account of blizzards and this. I'm pretty close to asking for a refund because I'm sure not learning anything!
