Leaf Collection/Disposal


The City of Salisbury, Department of Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance (NSCC)
would like to use this opportunity to inform Salisbury residents that in accordance with Section 12.04.010 of the Salisbury Municipal Code, Throwing or sweeping litter into streets and sidewalks:
It is unlawful for any person to cast, throw or sweep into any of the streets, public alleys or sidewalks within the corporate limits of the city any trash, refuse, leaves or sweepings.

Violators are subject to a municipal citation of up to $500.00 (five hundred dollars) for each day a violation exists.

The Salisbury Public Works Department will remove up to 25 (twenty five) bags of leaves per week. Requests for pick-up and instructions for the placement of bagged leaves must be directed to the Salisbury Department of Public Works, Service Center by calling (410) 548-3177.

NSCC accepts calls for service (complaints) regarding these and other violations of the Salisbury Municipal Code. To contact NSCC please call (410) 341-9550 Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

wasn't it last yr this time that mare BT racked hers into the street and had the vacume truck ride by to suck them up????
