This week, the U.S. Supreme Court considers whether to count self-identified illegal immigrants in the 2020 census. Cities worry adding the citizenship question could undercount 6.5 million people. Their argument, however, isn't just about political power but billions of dollars in federal funds states expect.
The case underscores what experts say is a growing cost to taxpayers from the surge of Central American families and unaccompanied minors.
"We're talking about billions of dollars in taxpayer benefits over the next few years," said Dan Stein, director of the right-leaning think tank, Federation for American Immigration Reform. "The payout for the taxpayer is enormous and income to the Treasury is miniscule."
A FAIR study in 2017 found illegal immigrants are a net consumer of taxpayer benefits worth more than $100 billion a year, not including the cost of enforcing the border.

Another little known trick used by illegals is to sell their American born children's SS numbers to someone usually a legal immigrant and the person claims the child as a dependent on taxes for a bigger refund. Also any American born children to them are eligible for welfare benefits not just including for food but rent help and of course Medicaid.
Wow talk a out fake news. lol I don't think that is true and im not for open borders but most immigrants do not recieve goverment help. Look it up, it is not true statement.

Try filing for disability in this country. After being born here, living here and WORKING here all of your life. It took me 2 1/2 years to get disability. That was with well-documented disability and doctor statements from doctors who have treated me for years. Meanwhile, my credit is ruined. I almost starved. I was unable to pay for my medical condition. And, I didn't qualify for any type of help because I owned my home. I couldn't file bankruptcy because my husband still works and his income was too high even though I was trying to file by myself as all of my debts were incurred before our marriage and were all in my name only. Talk about a screwed up system.
Yet they can walk across the border and our tax dollars will pay for everything they ever wanted. I never had free food, free healthcare, free phone, free anything. BUILD THAT WALL AND CHANGE OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS!

Well immigration costing us 100 Billion a year,
Build the wall for 5 Billion, and look what we save.

1:07 I hear you! It does take every bit that long for your disability to go through. They put you through hell in the meantime. All the documentations in the world don't help you any til they make you jump through all the hoops and then at the hearing those judges sit on their throne like God and try to make you feel like you are just trying to get a free ride. It's really awful.

The sad part is it is your money. It comes out of SS benefits. This country needs a thorough cleansing. Ever notice how rich politicians are when they leave Govt. service. That goes for both parties. I could never understand why one would want the headaches. Then I saw the accumulated wealth. We are some tolerant servants is all I can say. HANG EM ALL.
