Federal Disaster Loans Could Be Difficult To Obtain After Harvey

Around 80% of homeowners in areas devastated by flooding from Hurricane Harvey don’t have insurance policies that will cover much of the damage done to their properties. Federal disaster loans offer victims one pathway toward recovery, but obtaining that financing could be a difficult, drawn-out endeavor.

Funny how that is, isn't it???? You spend all of that money, per month or year, for 10, 20 or even 30+ years paying for something that usually won't happen, but when it does, all of a sudden, the insurance companies don't have the money!!!! So where did it all go then??? Because they make profit hand over fist every year with their premiums, why do they not have any to give out, but can certainly take it???

Shouldn't need insurance if they can't cover you when you actually need it... Or maybe have a law that says for every customer they have, they have to have money set aside to cover them at all cost for when this happens...
