There are quite a few castles hiding in Maryland, a few of which we’ve previously written about here. But there is only one castle in the Old Line State where you can rest your head for the night. That’s right, at the Castle B&B in Mount Savage, you can spend a weekend dining on gourmet food and walking around the grounds of this charming castle. What was once a normal-looking stone house in the 1840s was later purchased by a successful entrepreneur. He decided to turn the house into a castle and modeled it after Craig Castle in Scotland. He continued to live in the grand structure until the Great Depression.
